Yes, if they were real. If they were real, I can't really see reason for them to wear clothes. They again they do it anyway like in Canterlot. *brain explodes* I must agree, I think if the show were like that it'd be pretty weird.
Well, imagine humans. We wear clothes so that we keep covered, and to protect our bits, (since most of us intend to use them at one point or another.) Because of this, we have developed a social taboo for "showing off" as it were. Something which actually gets taught to those growing up. (I've seen enough kids running around naked to kinda figure that's more the primary instinct.) So then take a look at "nudist colonies," who are able to wander uninhibited and still function as would normal people. Now think of Equestria as a reversal of our world, in a way. Canterlot and Fillydelphia, etc, are the "civil" places that wear clothes... but more for fashion, it seems. While the "normal working class ponies" of Ponyville and other places wear nothing. *Brain sizzles.*
