I'm starting to work on my very first radio play project. I'll be opening auditions soon, but first I need to get all my tools in order. Can anypony recommend a source to find MLP:FIM sound effects and BGMs? I don't want my first project to be just the actors talking. I want this to have some polish. I'm still looking for a quality movie editing software. I could go to windows movie maker, but I've had a lot of troubles with that in the past. I'd like to avoid relying on it if I can. Once I have all my editing software and some decent sound effects/bgms I can open up auditions. I hope you all will enjoy it when I finally get it finished. I'll keep this thread updated as my project reaches new development stages.
Sound effects, you could look here. http://ukofequestria.co.uk/threads/mlp-fim-soundeffects-pack.5822/ If you need editing software you could always look into Sony Vegas. People seem to like it.
Thanks. Those sound effects are going to be a big help. Sadly I may be forced to use WMM until I can afford vegas. I still need to find some more sound effects like a nighttime forest and others, but those should be easy enough to find. There is one bit of audio I fear I may have trouble with. I'm going to need some lyre music. (I'm sure you can guess who is going to be appearing in my project if Lyre music is required.) I'm not sure where to get that, let alone some mlp background music.
I can't say for certain yet. I still need to get all my tools together and adapt a script from the original comic. (I may have to rely on WMM due to me being broke and sony vegas costs money) I still need to get my hands an a few more sound effects and some bgms. (not to mention lyre music for certain scenes)
