I wonder what people will say of this discussion a hundred years from now? Discussing asteroid mining seems kind of small and wasteful, given that there is so much more out there, in terms of resources. Even sunlight can be harvested better in space, and then there's our favorite banishment place, the Moon, if people are willing to spend the time getting there with the right equipment. Space is, like the ocean, a potential goldmine, if we are smart and careful. I would like to say, though, that before we can reach the stars, we should consider forming stronger, more peaceful international relations and better means of regulation and reward for corporate investment.
