He looked over at her with soft eyes before a light caught his gaze. He looked towards the ruins as a blue light caught his attention and he stood, frowning.
He moved towards the edge of the water, his ears flickering as he heard a soft singing again. The blue magic moved within the ruins and he tilted his head, watching longingly. The glow from his eyes intensified.
She would see Ben standing at the edge of the water, his brows furrowed as he stared. She would see the glow in the ruins too, painting the walls in a cool blue light.
He still didn’t see her, and as he placed a hand on the sigil, the water in front of him ripped as his blue Magyck swarmed over it, creating a shimmering sheen. He stepped forward and began to walk across the water, not touching its surface.
She watched anxiously, but didn't say anything, her brows furrowed as her eyes followed him across his magyck bridge.
She would watch him get onto the land in the middle of the water, looking up at the blue light. It was hard to see him from so far away, but his head was tipped back, his black curly hair blown back by the wind. She would suddenly see that same light in his chest, expanding and growing and spinning. Ben staggered before falling to his knees as the two sources connected, filling up the cavern. Puck woke suddenly, looking around. “Calliope!”
She looked back at Puck with wide eyes. "I.. I don't know what's happening.." Her gaze turned to the ruins again and she called out. "Ben!"
Ben didn’t respond and Puck came up to her, looking at the expanding blue light with wide eyes. “We need to go. We don’t know what that is.”
As they watched, the magic completely engulfed Ben, pulling him into the ruins. “How did he even get over there?”
"There.. There was a bridge." She looked panicked, rushing over to the edge of the water, pushing rocks in with her foot on accident. "Ben!"
The rocks made contact with the water with a loud splash, and suddenly, the walls around them surged to life, blue light pouring from the walls. The dark water brighted too, and floating just under the surface, she would see countless skeletons surging towards them.
The lights along the walls directed straight towards the middle where Ben has once stood. He was no longer able to be seen, but she would hear something. A cry of pain. Puck pulled out his sword as the skeletons began to emerge from the lake. "Calliope, we need to go now."
