He looked over at her before a frown came back to his face. Ben straightened up, his shoulder slumping as he waited for her to finish packing.
She got ready quick, not meeting either of their gazes as she stood up. She hesitated, offering her hand to Ben.
They emerged out of the pass. In front of them, they stared out into an taiga, with a freezing wind blowing and fog settling in the trees. After a moment, Ben spoke; the first time since they had left the clearing. “I think we should camp inside the Pass tonight for cover and then hurry to the kingdom tomorrow morning.”
She turned back into the pass going deep enough away from the outside before setting up the fire area and her bedding.
Puck looked over at Ben. “So! Can you fly on those things?” Ben looked up, frowning. “I don’t know. I haven’t tried.”
“You must’ve flown before they were taken, right?” Puck pushed. Ben’s face fell and he nodded slightly. “A little.”
