I have a OC have created some time ago, and i already have his appearance and back story with a name. I just need a talent, basically his back story is before Luna was Nightmare Moon Nightstrike was her student and even when she turned into Nightmare Moon he still stood by her side. And for that as a blessing/curse he was gifted eternal youth\reduced (so he isn't no immortal) and after Luna was banished. He waited patiently for a thousand years in the ruins (where Luna went in the second episode in S1) till the day she came back. Now my problem like I said is his talent I'm not sure what to make it because with years of study and practice, Its a given that he has great knowledge of magic and history. But i really don't want to be that cliche, so if anypony could i would appreciate that help thanks
I think magic as a talent is only cliche in the fandom. In the show only one pony has that talent. Anyway. You could do a specific type of magic like how shining armour has that protection spell. You could try something like that
I agree with Echoax. Perhaps it was a variety of magic that appealed to Luna for some reason. Something associated with the night, or perhaps allowed him to survive in the Everfree all that time. Maybe illusion magic, or something of that nature?
*uses magic to refract the moonlight to appear invisible* stupid idea, but fits quite effectively with both ideas...
I've got to warn you, Alicorns aren't used a lot in RP's around here. Just a heads up. As for talent, maybe he could use lunar magic?
