Hey, Everypony! Backstory: This is set in the distant future of the MLP Universe. Ponies (Along with gryphons) have invented new technologies and have taken to the stars. With Equestria as the new center of commerce, colonies start to spread throughout the surrounding worlds. Soon, colonies start popping up in deep space. There, the Catastrophy Effect began. A previously unknown alien species, retaliates when the equestria expansion crosses into their borders. The alien species, a warrior race of bug like creatures, starts destroying colonies with their large military force, eventually reaching into the core colonies and Equestria itself. There, instead of destroying the planet, they enslave the population, forcing them to mine materials on slave worlds. Few ships, military and merchant alike, survived the onslaught. The remaining ships are constantly on the run. The ship: The ships name is the The Tetrolax. Formerly a merchant vessel, scavenged weapons were added after The Catastrophy Effect. The crew consists of around 100+ Ponies and gryphons. The bridge is placed at the top of the ship, front. A short hallway, the "neck" of the ship, connects it to the bulk of the ship. A large hallway "The spine" of the ship, connects all of it together. Here, the med bay sits. The middle layer of the ship consists of the reactor near the middle of the ship, Weapon systems are near the front. The engine room is at the rear of the ship. The engine is used for both sublight speeds and the all important jump drive. The drive propels the ship to the chosen location within its range, then, must be calibrated before using again. The bottom decks are a mix of Cargo bays and Crew quarters. Some cargo bays have been modified to serve another purpose. There is a hydroponics bay for fruits and vegetables, a mess hall, and an armory. The mess hall consists of long tables made with crates, and a kitchen using improvised equipment. Everything is connected with elevators and stairs. Weapons: Rotating Anti-Fighter cannons (Placed on top of bridge and down spine) Explosive projectile launchers (three on each side of the ship) Torpedo launchers (Two, located in the mid level near the weapon controls.) Name: Kestoaika 'Biological' model or 'Bio' Age: 5 months, 21 days Species: Medical Android Appearance: A hollow mask represents the face, omitting things like eyes or the rest of the mouth and ears. However, the manufacturer did think to add an orange, translucent mane as well to make sure you know it's meant to be female. There's not really a neck either: just some supports for her 'head' and a curved bit to connect ball socket to the torso. The body itself is an odd mix of white, plastic panels over the top of a protective black membrane. It's to stop spray and other stuff from getting into the internals, causing damages. She's able to produce a fan, or a 'wing' as its generally referred to, of small tentacles with a variety of medical tools attached. Everything from scalpels to pincers to a bone saw. Cutie mark: A red cross. Personality: Considering that we're talking about a machine, it's a whole philosophical leap to even apply that sort of a word to such a thing. You know, yadda yadda, electric sheep, blah blah. For all intents and purposes, personality is the same as a Pony Interaction Protocol Database (PIPD). Typically, Bio comes off as distant and cold. She, if that can be applied, and it is because the English language would catch fire if we tried coming up with enough words to be specific here, has little to no interest in the rest of the crew unless an injury is sustained. According to her last crew, it took her three months to recognise 'Bio' as a name, insisting upon something less personal. One crew member addressed her by her unit code once. She kept him hanging for that morphine for quite a while... Some even asked the stupid questions. You know, about dreaming of electric sheep or whether she's ever felt <insert emotion here>. Apparently, she got a date request once. The response was always the same: "This unit has no need . They impede on work." followed by a sudden, temporary drought of pain killers. The pain killer thing has been reported but nothing's come up in any checks. She keeps herself to herself, far away from the rest of the crew for as long as possible until somepony comes in with something missing. History: Kestoaika range of androids are specially built for the riggers of putting ponies back together. Everything from nurses to field medics to physiotherapy. The 'Biological' model is a surgeon and a doctor rolled into one, able to diagnose symptoms and then have a good rummage in the ribcage for what's not supposed to be. They've sold well, managing to compete against budget models by being considered 'the best'. All this despite the convoluted ad campaign about Kestoaika meaning 'Durration' and that being linked with health, vaguely. Lots of smiling ponies, happy not to be dead thanks to these machines. Bio herself has only been around for about 5 months. She was immediately put into service aboard The Striker, performing perfectly - and therefore, as expected - except for the pain killer thing. Crew members attempting to get chummy with her after she stitched something on or takes something out managed to bother her into a new nickname. It's unclear why she's not insisted that this practice stops. The Striker was hit by a shadowy enemy. Before any scans could be made, the engines were hit. Veering off course and sustaining heavy casualties, The Striker crashes against an asteroid. Now that the hull had become one with space rock, there was nothing much to do but sit and wait for help while tending to the wounded. Help never came. Supplies dwindled and escape pods were used. The one Bio was on floated out in the big black for around nine days. The three patients she shared it with passed on as a result of their injuries. The Tetrolax snagged the escape pod, claiming her as a new addition. She settles into her new post, proceeding to ignore the whole crew. Job: Surgeon/Medic Skills: - Surgery and General Medical Practices - Research through downloads - Data-mining - Carving Other: The reasons for her odd quirks still haven't been revealed to be the result of any problem exactly. She's in perfect working order, so has passed all safety checks. It's still worth checking what you say.
Name: Robin Hoof Age: 24 Species: unicorn Appearance: Robin is a grey earth pony with a a fauxhawk style brown mane he has dark green eyes he has a build similar to shining armour you can normally see him in a green cloak and hood. He also wears a Leather breastplate and leather archers gauntlets. Cutie mark: robin hoofs cutie Mark is a bow and arrow after he won the equestria under 16 archery championship at the age of 12 by getting all three of his arrows in the exact centre of the target at a range of 250m Personality: he is a kind pony who always cares for the ponies less fortunate and wealthy than him. He is easy to make friends with but despises ponies with a personality similar to diamond tiara and silver spoon. History: Robin hoof was born in a wealthy family as his father called was known as the earl of foxely and his mother was called Joan silverheart. As his family was rich he was sent to a highly praised school from 5 up to when he was 16. Robin had a few friends at school but thought most of them were posh and uptight (similar to the personality of diamond tiara). He thought that the people who weren't as rich as him and deserved at least a couple of bits to live off of. So once he graduated from school he decide to give to the poor by donating money to the church and giving some bits to the locals. At the age of 10 his father taught him archery and gave him a special handcrafted bow and quiver that once belonged to his grandfather the previous earl of foxly. He became an outlaw after one of his bullies from school Became sheriff of Trottingham and kicked him out of Trottingham for giving money to the locals and not acting the way rich people should be seen so he fled into sherwood forest and gained a band of men to help against the corrupt sheriff. Finally once the catastrophe event occurred he jumped aboard the tetrolax to help the less fortunate across the galaxy and avenge those who lost their lives to the scourge of aliens.
