    I tend to do the exact same thing.
    Religion is a contributing factor the this issue, and somehow it has to be removed.

    Probably a good choice;
    Adding yet another person to an
    Argument won't do anything
    Except cause more anger,
    Achieve even less,
    And may even end in grudges.

    It's not relevant anyway;
    I don't mean to the argument,
    I mean:
    It's not relevant to one's day-to-day life.
    What would such a debate even achieve?

    It seems the topics of religion and sexuality are forever linked. I can't bring up sexuality anymore without someone bringing up religion as well. Its frustrating, especially to someone as non-religious as myself. It gets particularly annoying when they start saying that their God is going to doom me to hell or whatever unless I repent- for being who I am, apparently. Then they start questioning my love for my boyfriend, and that's what really sets me off.

    I hate people who do that.
    I'm ashamed to be a "part" of a religion that openly criticizes gay and bisexual people.
    Screw them. You're a good person, being Gay or Bi doesn't damn you worth sh*t.
    I'm sorry but those people are idiots, Chap.

    Furthermore,
    I don't recall the bible stating that
    As a sin.
    So Christianity should be okay with this.
    It doesn't seem to me it is.
    At least,
    Most Christians I've met.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.
    (I read the bible only out of intrigue.)

    The argument is...
    God Created Adam and Eve, Not Adam and Steve or Lafonda and Eve.
    So Catholics are like IT'S A SIN!111!!!!eleven!!
    And yet, the bible itself states that all sins are forgiven, if you follow Christ.
    Soooo... they go against their own teachings to try to change something that they think is wrong.
    A****s

    Yes,
    I've noted things like that a while ago.
    In some sense this amused me though;
    Most Christians I've met are morbidly afraid of rainbows.

    Congratulations,
    You're afraid of the light spectrum.

    That's funny, because in Genesis, the rainbow is created as a symbol of God's covenant with man signifying that he will never again flood the Earth.

    If anything, they should love rainbows. :angry:

    When's the last time you've seen a
    Run of a mill, average Christian take:
    "Love thy neighbor as thou loves thyself."
    To heart, and actually live by it?

    It's been a while for me.
    Not to say all are like that,
    But the ones I've met...

    This is an unfortunate truth. I feel like Christianity as it was originally intended is long dead.

    I wouldn't say it's dead per say.
    It's just,
    It's not commonly observed in our society.
    The internet killed it.
    Where there's no internet;
    I'm not so sure.

    But even this talk of religion isn't
    Getting us anywhere.
    :sigh:

    We keep going back to religion in this thread. We really need to stop that. It's just depressing! :(

    Religion is where all the Gay is Bad and all the hate comes from. If that is the only defense that people have where they think its wrong.

    Yes,
    I second this notion.
    We should just drop the religion
    Topic all together.
    There's a thread for it.

    @ResidualChaos
    But don't be depressed,
    There's too much good in this world for that!

    @Sunburn

    I've long since learned that
    Sarcasm doesn't exist on the internet.

    And I am serious.
    This forum.
    Proof of concept.
    If this isn't a good thing,
    Then I'm a giant yellow flying bus.
    (Better yet)
    I'll eat my teapot.

    Guys, stay with the topic. ResidualChaos is right, discussing religions/religious beliefs in here can be quite depressing.

    And I have been on topic.
    I have mentioned that
    There is good in this world.
    This forum being an example of that.
    Slowly helping people;
    Albeit a few at a time,
    But every little bit counts.

    I agree 100%. So far re-reading through all that has been said so far I think this thread is one of the most tolerant thread topics I have ever seen. I have loads of respect for our community. Makes me want the world like our forums.

    I agree with this, not to mention I kindly asked that religion be kept out of this topic. Remember?

    There's a thread for religious talk here:

    > http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?2260-Religious-Tolerance

    Thanks! ^_^
