NASCAR died with Dale Sr.
It was never the same after that.

 

Yeah because then drivers learned to be safe and use the Hans system.

But your argument could be made about any sport really. Sports are really just used for companies to through out their name. NASCAR pretty much lives of that. Plus NASCAR gets all pissy with the rules and crap.

Then again things may have changed. I haven't watched it at all since Johnson got that second trophy in a row.

 

After Senior died, NASCAR got a lot of media attention.
As a result, more people started watching.
When more people started watching, the fanbase changed.
When the fanbase changed, so did NASCAR.

Oh well. At least I still have the monster truck circuit.

 

Dear God, I thought that I was the only one who thought that. I see I am not alone.

After Dale Sr. died, I kinda stopped watching NASCAR. A lot of the drivers seem really childish, especially when they don't get in first *cough*Kyle Busch*cough*. Not to mention that it got less competitive with all their rules and regulations. But it does make the occasional fist fight between drivers/teams amazingly funny. Especially the ones during the Chase.

 

Kyle Busch is a jerk.

I think nascar needs to be reworked.

1) no restricter plates, they are dumb.

2) remove stupid penalties. This includes speeding on pit road.

3) allow fights. If the driver gets hurt in a fight it's his problem. If a driver attempts to fight a person still strapped into the car they will be fined 10,000 dollars.

4) let driver decide what they want to wear. If try don't wanna have safety things, then so be it. Let then do as they please.

5) no driving and parking to get the low end prize money. You race a full race or it's split to the other drivers.

6) no more special treatment for "poster boy" drivers like Gordon and Johnson.

This would greatly improve nascar

Also I believe a nascar thread exists already somewhere. I think rada made it, if memory serves me right.
