Note Sheet had closed his eyes when he had noticed that there was no escape from the rock slide heading towards them. The noise came closer and closer, the earth was shaking, and soon he would be hit and carried away by them... But nothing hit him. The rocks' noise passed him and disappeared slowly. His eyes opened again, and he say Shining Shield standing in front of him. He seemed to be extremely exhausted, but he wasn't hurt. "Shining Shield! Are you alright?", Note Sheet asked quickly and looked around him. He saw three other ponies, Cherry Berry, Dark Shine and Haze. They did not seem to be hurt as well. However, he was unable to find Zephyr, Silver Edge and Facade... The rain had become stronger again. "Come on, ponies! There's a cave over there, let's wait there until the rain stops!" OT: You're allowed to look for our three missing ponies that have been carried away by the rock slide. If you find them, please keep the descriptions on a safe and harmless level. (They're dead, by the way.)
(O noes! :0) Shield stumbled into the cave, then immediately lay down on the ground. He quickly fell asleep, having exhausted himself as he had.
(Ack! Double-Ninja'd) Cherry wasn't enjoying the rain nearly as much as Notesheet was. As she blinked against the deluge, she reflected in the fact that she didn't very much like being wet. Then the rocks came. The first few tiny ones, she was able to step around, but as tehy got bigger and bigger, she had to begin sidestepping and eventually hopping over them. She found that she was quite adept at hopping and began making a game out of it. One, Two, Three Hop, Skip, Jump Four, Five, Six Jump, Skip, Hop She started even hopping from one of the larger stones to the next. This lasted a little while until she misjudged a hop (or was it a skip?) and she tripped over the stone , landing on her face. Because of the slippery ground, she wasn't able to get up fast enough to avoid any of the stones coming toward her. She braced herself for the eventual impact. Suddenly, all at once the rocks stopped coming as Silver Shield's shield appeard in front of her, casting the rocks off to either side. After the rock slide had disappated some, she managed to get to her feet and make it into the cave with everypony else. Covered in mud, she panted and looked around. "Wait! Some of us are missing!" They're proabably dead. Like you should've been... She frowned and hung her head. She whispered, [size=-3]"We should look for them..."[/size]
After Note Sheet finally had reached the inside of the cave, he just saw Shining Shield faint. He immediately bent down to him to see if he was okay... A weak but noteable breath from the white unicorn's mouth grazed his coat, and slowly Shining Shield's facial features relieved tension. He had saved them all... All of them owed him their lives... All of them? "Wait! Some of us are missing!", Cherry berry suddenly shouted out - and she was right. Zephyr, Silver Edge and Facade had not reached the cave yet... Note Sheet ran to the edge of the cave and looked outside. The rain had become stronger and stronger, and loud rolling of thunder alternated with pulses of bright light. "We should look for them...", he heared Cherry Berry whisper, and again she was right. But what should they even do? Was there anything they could do if they found them? he walked back into the cave, little drops of water running down from his eyes. Maybe a few raindrops had reached him at the edge of the cave. Yes, that was what it had to be. "Yes, Cherry", he said quietly, "Cherry Berry. We should look for them, but... I'm afraid if we leave this cave while it's still raining, we'll just be flooded down the cliff. I'm afraid we'll have to stay here and wait. I'm sorry... I wish there was something we could do for them..."
(Fast-Forward a few hours) Shield woke up, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. He looked around...where was he? Surrounded by stone, that's where. He didn't remember going in here... he began to panic, but then forced himself to stay calm and think. What is the last thing I remember... The rocks. Yes. Now he remembered. He'd stopped the rockslide. How was that even possible? He hadn't even thought it would work; he'd just been desperate and scared. He tried to find somepony else who'd been in their group, but he didn't see anyone. A horrible thought struck him. What if he'd been the only one to survive? What if he'd panicked, and forgotten to protect everypony? He got up and started frantically searching about. The cave was pretty deep, so maybe they had wandered in farther? No, wait! The rain had stopped. Perhaps they'd gone outside! He ran/stumbled to the mouth of the cave. (You guys went out to look for the others as soon as the rain stopped, but left Shield sleeping, okay?)

(Basically we were surprised by a rock slide that legionbrony's character - Shining Shield - was able to stop. However, Zephyr, Silver Edge and Facade were caught by the rock slide and are dead now. Because it's raining we have run into a cave. You could describe how the rock slide appeared and what your character did. There was no way to evade it, except flying away, but remember that it's raining and stormy^^)
Cherry had been unfortuante enough to find Zephyr. She tried waking him a dozen times, but he didn't respond. He's dead. Deal with it. "How?" she said to the voice in her head. Leave. Just go somewhere that nopony can find you. Nopony will miss you. Just leave. She very nearly did that. She began walking down the mountainside, but stopped herself when she saw a flash of green off to the side. It was Note Sheet, checking under a few rocks for any of the other ponies who were missing. He'd miss me... She wasn't entirely sure how she knew that, but it must've been true, since the other voice in her head didn't respond. He's my friend. We're all friends. She looked around for a while before finding a particularly smooth stone and placing it near Zephyr. It seemed like a nice thing for her to do, even if she didn't really know why she had done it. "Note Sheet! Did you find anyone?" she shouted to the green unicorn as she trotted toward him.
The rain finally had stopped. Note sheet didn't know how long they had been sitting here, but it had felt like a half eternity. Nopony had said anything during that time, and Note Sheet just had sat there and thought about... Them. Yes, indeed. He couldn't help but think about the three missing ponies. You lost them... We have to find them... What happened to them... Maybe they found an other cave to hide in... But the viev he had outside the cave hardly left any room for hope. The only hoofprints he noticed were the ones leading to the cave he had been hiding in. The rock slide Shining Shield had been able to block had crashed into a large rock spur not too far away from them and then had dispersed in different directions. Note Sheet slowly climbed down the lane the rock slide had produced and checked out the first bigger pile of rocks. Cherry Berry seemed to follow him, but she went to an other one than he did. But there weren't only rocks in this pile. There was something black... no, a bright blue... no, both... He pushed away some smaller rocks to get a better view - and seconds later he wished he hadn't done that. the black and bright blue colours turned out to be a pony - Silver Edge. But he looked... different. His body's shape was twisted, and pieces of a red crust cleaved in his coat and mane. His eyes were closed, and he wasn't breathing. He was... dead. Note Sheet felt a strong tension in his entire body, and even though it wasn't raining, a drop of water landed on his cheek. A second one followed, and soon he hardly was able to see anything. His breath stagnated and made the tension inside him feel even worse than before. He heared a familiar voice speaking to him: "Note Sheet! Did you find anyone?" He turned around and whiped the water from his eyes to see who had called him. It was Cherry Berry. Note Sheet needed a few seconds to be able to say anything, but eventually he managed to answer: "I did. Silver Edge is..." The last word was blocked by his stagnating breath again, and he imediately wanted to run to the pink mare and take her into his forehoofs. But even though he hardly was able to think straight there was something that kept him from doing it...
Silver clambered out of the cave and over the rocks. He immediately caught sight of Note Sheet and Cherry Berry; their colors didn't exactly blend in with the grey and brown background of rock and earth. The second thing he saw was a pony lying next to them which he recognized as Zephyr, but something was wrong. Zephyr wasn't moving, and Cherry and Note Sheet didn't look happy. What...what had happened? He galloped over to them at top speed, stumbling over the rocks and scraping his legs, but he ignored the pain. "What happened? What's wrong with Zephyr? Where are all the others?"
(OOC: Isn't his name Shining Shield? :derpe Cherry was silent as Shield asked them about Zehpyr. They all knew what was wrong, but nopony wanted to actually say it. Finally forcing back the lump in her throat, Cherry responded, [size=-3]"He's...he's dead. And so is Silver Edge.."[/size] A single tear ran down her face.
Seeing Cherry Berry cry also made it hard for Note Sheet to keep calm. "I think... they have been.. caught by the rock slide... and have been... buried under it. And I'm afraid... Facade has been met by the same faith." He just didn't know what to do now. He wanted to cry, because he expected to lose the tension in his body when crying, but seeing Cherry Berry cry... It looked so sad, and what would the other ponies think then? Without thinking about it he hugged Cherry Berry, realizing what he did several seconds later. But just letting her go also didn't feel right for him. We have to keep strong... I have to keep strong... I mustn't cry... OT: Yes, you always write "Silver", legionbrony xD
(Gaah! It's reflex, reflex! I later changed his name to Silver in all my other roleplays, so now I keep calling him Silver...I try to just say Shield, but sometimes it slips, lol BTW, Nature, I have no Skype here on my PC, but I can still PM and Chat. Okay? Right now I have no access to my iPad. D: ) Shield was completely stunned. He was so stunned that he couldn't think. He just kinda sat down where he was, eyes staring off into space as he tried to comprehend what was happening. No...what HAD happened. He had failed to protect everypony. It had been his shield, and thus his responsibility. And he had failed. But he said nothing. He merely sat there with a shocked, horrified look on his face. How could this have happened? How could I have let this happen?!
Cherry's eyes widened as she felt Note Sheet wrap his forehooves around her. It felt...warm. Comforting. When he let go, she suddenly felt cold and alone, even though two of her friends were right here in front of her. What was she feeling? Taking a couple of seconds to recover, she noticed the look of horror on Shield's face. Not entirely knowing why he looked horrified, she stated, "Did you deflect the rocks? Thank you. I would've been crushed if you hadn't..."
(Oh yeah, and Dodo will be on a weird time schedule, he will prolly post mostly in the morning. I think. Well, my morning anyways. I forget where he lives. Just not in my timezone.) Shield heard Cherry's thanks; it soaked through his brain like water through very thick cloth. But it didn't comfort him. "But I didn't save everypony." He said this dreamily, as though he were talking to himself. "I should have. I could have, I'm sure of it. It's all my fault." Upon speaking these words, something snapped, and he fell to the ground, shaking with silent sobs. (Man, I'm getting myself all worked up here, lol)
First Cherry Berry, and now Shining Shield... He just had to do something... anything... Note Sheet lay down on the ground next to Shining Shield. He tried to smile as well as he could. "Shining Shield, you saved us. That's important. You've never done that before, and I'll always be deeply grateful for what you did when the rocks came. Don't be ashamed of what you didn't manage to do if you can be proud of something you have done. I'm sure Zephyr, Silver Edge and Facade also would say that if they were here with us. Believe me, nopony will hold you responsible for their death, but everypony will keep in mind that you saved us." When he had hugged Cherry Berry, he had got a very nice feeling, and also Cherry Berry seemed to have lost some tension, so maybe it would work for Shining Shield too? He just tried it and hugged him as well. "Thank you...", he whispered in Shining Shield's ear.
Dark Shine had his jaw wide open. He flew towards Shield. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!" It was apparent he was happy. "You saved our lives!" He took a breath. "We owe you Shield!"
Silver just lay there limply. He had stopped crying, but his eyes were closed in pain at the thought of the deaths that he, at least, counted as being on his head. His lips quivered, and he didn't answer Note Sheet, nor did he respond to Dark Shine.
