"I just make you guys all sandy and stuff. But, hey. I guess I am good at beating stuff up. Charlie, your music is beautiful, unlike any I've ever heard. You aren't like so many other ponies. You're amazing. You managed to catch my eyes and ears, didn't you? Takes some skill to do that." Dune assured Charlie, looking at her with a pained expression because of her self deprivation.
"Im sure what you mean Knight." Charlie made a puzzled look as she tried to think what he meant. "And my music is just music, it's the way I play that fits the cutie mark."
Dune walked in pace with Charlie. "Knight is right. You have so many great abilities. Don't count yourself out." He said reassuringly.
"Really? I don't see it, but thank you for pointing it out!" the reached the train station and Charlie waited in line to pay for a ticket. "The Dragon Mountain in 3 days passed Canterlot and it's probably another day to get all the way to the top." Charlie placed her bits on the counter and grabbed her ticket, then waited for the others.
Dune did the same, staying close to Charlie. "I used to be friends with Luna. We almost got serious...we used to sing." Dune said to Charlie.
"Not on the mountain, to dangerous. It's just best of we take the stupid time that way we can get rest and food."
"Alright. Come on. I don't want to have to clear us some seats together." Dune said to Charlie, eyes darting
"Are you sure Knight?" the train bell whistled and Dune urged Charlie to get on the train faster. They entered the booth and found 3 open seats. Using her saddle bag to occupy the third one she say down in the window seat, watching as the desert stars passed by.
"Charlie. I'm really happy you agreed to marry me...but I'm not totally sure...why you did?" Dune said quizically.
"Well...I asked because you're a beautiful mare with a lovely personality that's packed with talent. Why did you say yes?" He asked.
"because, your a stallion that actually gets me, some stallions think I'm just a stuck up mare who thinks she has talent or the treat me like a celebrity even though clearly I'm not. You don't do that, you treat me like I'm a real pony, plus I think you look so amazing when your using you sand techniques to defend me." Charlie hoped she said that correctly and that it made sence, she was never good at showing true emotions.
Dune had a smile on his face and a tear rolling down it. He hugged Charlie tightly. "Thank you...I feel like I matter now. And you're he first to call my sand techniques art. I'll make it so, Charlie. That was the most beautiful thing anypony has ever said about me..." He thanked her.
Charlie hugged Dune back and stayed close till the first stop which is Ponyville. The passengers were allowed out to stretch their legs and to buy snacks and the local food market. But Charlie stayed in the train, her eyes fixed in the Everfree Forest just on the other side.
