Hi! I am Sunshine Thunder and I have been a fan since the first season (episode 13 release) when a brony friend of mine trapped me in our college lounge and made me watch the first five episodes. I watched all the way up to what was current at the time that same night. This is my first time really making an attempt to jump into the fandom though. Tyro the Fox directed me here from his stream that I happened upon last night, he also told me to say I get hugs ^_^. I've been avoiding the fandom by reflex since that fateful first night years ago though because when my brony friend explained that the fandom was composed of people our age, on the internet, and predominantly male....I didn't quite feel like jumping right in. I game pretty heavily online and I assumed that the online mlp community would be similar since both are teen-20s, on the internet, and predominantly male. Not something I was looking forward to. I am happy to say that I have been since proven wrong by all you wonderful people ^_^ I was recently at a con in Pittsburgh and joined in one of the panels about mlp grimdark, where they showed a ton of fan created fics and animations. Afterwards I was like "IMMA JOIN IN CUZ THIS STUFF IS SO COOL!". After posting up a storm on the mlp subreddit and joining in on chats and pony-themed streams, like Tyro's, I only wish I had dipped my hooves in way back when things were just getting rolling. so ta-da! Well, that's quite an introduction! I don't know if the membership of this site does fall into the demographic you outlined, or if it does, I certainly haven't found it to be an issue; pretty sure we've got male, female, older and younger, and I still reckon a few fax machines have slipped through the net. Anyway, hope you like what you see around here and decide to stay a while; I'd suggest trying the forum games, they're a good way to get to know ponies, and there is usually hugging.
