Would you prefer he get angry and quit?

 

Several good moderators got angry and quit because of him, myself included. So quite frankly, yes. I want Eight to get his act together or resign. The only reason why Eight wanted to become an admin in the first place was so he had more control over the RP section. That's the only thing that ever interested him. That's why the rest of the site is declining into nothingness. The site at this moment is far worse than it was when i left only months ago. I can tell the difference.

 

Well lets not forget tyro. He could be doing stuff. Also there are only 2 instead of the 3 we had before. Not like we could have 3 now anyway with the site the way it is. Also no one is qualified to even have the spot.

I don't believe any good mods have ever rage quit. Most mods fall into the "what we had available at the moment" category

 

Most moderators NOW fall into that category. Harley and Bounty were awesome moderators in their own field of expertise. They raged and left. Saikyo was, and still is, worthy. Why he's not back on staff yet eludes me.

We now have 2 admins, but Berry stopped doing what he was doing after a while in the time he acted as the 3rd admin. In a sense, we've always had only 2. Eight Star only concentrates on the RP section. I'm told Tyro doesn't do much of the tech stuff he's meant to do, though i can't say if it's the truth or not.

The radio is dead. Why we still have so many radio staff, or the radio itself for that matter, is a mystery to me. It took the lazyness of both admins to let the radio section die.

It takes more than a "please stay here" for people to actually stay here, guys.

I still as no mod has ever gone beyond average at best quality, but that really doesn't matter because we will both just disagree. It's what eva.

I disagree with have saikyo back on the staff, but that's my opinion, which means it's entirely worthless.

I as 3 admins would be perfect, one tech, one radio and one forum. Seems simple, it's a shame we have no need with the radio being dead, the tech stuff I know nothing about. But the forum is honestly turning just bland. Like nothing happened in the GCT for 22 hours. There are like 17 active members anymore and this excludes staff. I think only Dragon would count as active staff I guess. I still think the site would benefit from having staff that really try to lift the site back up again but it will not ever happen. I'd like it to, but it won't, remember the "revive EP" thread, where did that thing even go. Nowhere, no one did a damn thing but talk. Talk gets nothing done but the illusion that they care about what happens. So it's everyone's fault really the site is in this condition. New members hardly stay anymore and the remaining active members are hard to even kept hold of. Maybe this game thing will actually be completed and that might get something going, but honestly I doubt it's completion will happen. The EP based projects die quickly.

I've never gone to the radio so I don't know jack about it, I thought it was dead like a year ago.

I'm not surprised about you receiving a ban. When your told not to do something, don't do it, simple as that. This might be me, but I respect the decisions that are made by the Mods. Running a website is harder than it looks, trust me. I'm trying to keep this as PG-13 as possible without me swearing like a sailor or getting myself banned.

If you wish to have a hissy fit, go ahead. I'm sure as hell not going to stop you. But at least put some thought about your actions, try and ensure that this does not happen again. You have friends here narrow who are going to miss you if you leave, friends who care for you, and you're just abandoning them over a stupid statement you've just made about your farewell saying that it has 'Bit you on the ass?". Well then, it's really none of my business.

Get over it, it's only 11 hours. Be glad it isn't 3 years. Come back

 

Tyro tried making such a game like a year ago. Guess what happened to that.

You said you didn't want Saikyo back on staff, but he's probably the closest thing to this we're ever gonna get again.

@Echoax - If you really want to see the staff change, put in an application.

@Rarit E - If the staff is so broken, maybe you should have stayed on and tried harder to make things better. Quitting is for quitters.

@NarrowLeaf - You screwed up, now deal with the (very minor) consequences. This is not worth leaving the site over.

@Eight Star - I do understand where some of these complaints are coming from. Until recently, you seemed almost exclusively focused on EPRP.
I understand that it's a source of pride for you, but working on it can't come at the expense of the rest of site.
Of course, with this new game of yours, you are managing to spark a lot of interest in the forums again, so good job on that.

@Ridley Wolf - Shut up, nobody cares what you think.

 

And the revive thread, and that magazine thing, the eight star art contest, pretty sure there was also a writing contest as well. Even that second EP family thing or my stupid alphabet thing. Though these fall onto the people doing them, I know mine was because I got lazy. It's not the mods fault on these. Just proof the site is dead or whatever.

based on past things I still disagree, it doesn't have to be the staff that lift it back up. Anyone can do it, I said staff because they are official and junk. They are the ones people should be seeing, I don't really have any examples.

I'm having trouble thinking of a way to word this, I see the staff as someone that should be getting the things done, but right now and in the past they seems similar to management at my job. Of the last four managers, One would try her best to get things done by helping the employees, she got canned, the newer three don't really do anything unless they are required to. If any of us voice a complaint to them they brush it off and ignore it. That's kinda what the staff look like to me, they aren't really there, there is no real leader and they only appear when there is something that forces there attention. Then again with the site in life support do they even need to show, that's what life support is for.

I was passed over twice anyway, plus I'm more of the same, I'd be even below the "what we had at the moment" I'm more like "scrap the bottom of the sludge like substance"

I couldn't change anything anyway, nothing can change this site.

 

The day your friends start seeing you as an annoyance and stop caring about your opinions is the day you might as well quit. There was nothing i could do on staff that i couldn't do as a regular member. I still want to help, but considering how many people keep brushing me off like a mosquito on a hot day, i might as well be that annoying and hope i leave them with some bites to scratch.

You shouldn't have quit then, not like I didn't enjoy it though. Any staff issue is pretty great, but anyway, you should have stayed to bother them daily. What's the worst that could happen? They fire you? oh no. Just be popular enough or whatever and you can achieve anything here. Well almost anything.

Honestly I can't imagine it's really all that hard. At least on Eight's side, he "watches" the forum and probably handles a few background things. I can't imagine this is something like Roosterteeth or reddit. We have like 17 active members, what could be so hard about be head admin over that.

If Rarit E had the admin spot nothing would be different, still a ghost admin that would change nothing. Nothing more then a user name and some small things like that.

If this can't be done without both sides trust the other then I think the staff has to change something on their end. Cause as a normal user, I have nothing to real do or anything to make anything happen. Like I could write a novel on stuff to change and it means nothing. Personally I say the staff have to act first.

Attacking the administrative staff isn't a good idea, given your previous warning Rarit. Especially in a thread that isn't related to it at all.

 

1. You are an RP mod, yes? doesn't your power basically fall over the RP section?

2.Me of all people, not sure what that means honestly. That I should understand not to say anything because I feel I should be saying things. I will remain skeptical until I'm proven wrong.

3.Well there isn't much to really be happy about so it's understandable

4. Me personally? I wouldn't call "EXTREMELY aggressive" I call it more like, "saying things in a rambling sort of way that sometimes people agree with." I feel I'm always reasonable, but it seems the only to get anyone to notice anything is to make noise. Temper tantrums cause noise, thus we have opened a dialogue once again between staff and user. A dialogue that will no doubt go nowhere and serve no purpose.
