OOC chat for the wild west RP. _____________ Also, Snow, I have an idea where the story could go, but it involves misfortune on your part.
What kind of 'misfortune'? Is this going to be like Red Dead and Red is Butch or whatever his name is?
Well, considering the west, folks would join gangs for the money and the thrill. Red's gang has the trill factor, but not much in the area of money, unless you're robbing of course, which doesn't seem to be Red's game. With some bribery from the government, a sum of Red's gang beings to sabotage their operations. Soon, the army attacks again with more soldiers and guns. If this sounds ok to you, I'll explain a bit more.
I guess I should explain a little more about Red's gang/army answering: Red started his gang from pretty humble beginnings, just him and about ten of his closest friends (Who now make up the inner circle/command of it) with some big dreams. Over time, their plan evolved into what it is today, cleansing the state of the (In their eyes) corrupt influence of the government and giving the state to those that live inside. Red's gang grew, yes through the proto-typical means of ponies seeking fortune or had no were else to turn, but also through forcing, or recruiting like an army, ponies of places they defeated/took control of. Then those ponies are drilled and drilled much like the true military, as one of Red's friends was once a drill sargent in the army. Basically Red's army's strength comes from their loyalty to Red and each other, so I don't think that they would be bribed all that easily, maybe one here and there, but not many. The only reason why Red's army is so strong is because of this. This is what allowed them to attack army outposts(their most common target) and usually win and seize all the equipment inside. I think that the best storyline from here would instead be Sargent being forced to hunt down Red and try to kill him.
The problem I'm having is that with Red controlling everything, what is there left to do? I thought you were running a gang at first, not a liberation team. That just seems to make things boring for everyone else. So, yeah, all that's left is for Sarge to be forced to kill Glory as a storyline.
Well, I have my own ideas that can make it interesting, such as the sheriffs that Red spared attempting a comeback, etc. If you need ideas for storylines, just ask, I'm great at those.
All things considered, I think it would make sense for a full on army invasion. Like, an actual, almost successful invasion, that leaves both armies in ruins, but Glory's still stands victorious.
That makes good sense, and meanwhile, the government is using you to try to take out Red. Yes...it sounds good....
