"No," he said quietly, his brows furrowed. "You shouldn't have gotten hurt. I should've been more careful."
She tilted her head curiously before scooting towards him a little. “But look at me. I’m fine. Plus, we got the key! You should be happy.”
She frowned too, studying him before slipping her arms around his waist, giving him a hug, her head resting on his shoulder.
"Shh," she soothed, her hands flat against his back. "It's okay. I don't know if you've noticed, but I have a habit of getting into bad situations."
She looked up at him suddenly, a frown on her face. “No,” she corrected. “Like almost freezing to death.” She gave him a small smile, cupping his jaw in her hands. “I will never regret meeting you, Zerras.”
She laughed good-naturedly, her thumb brushing his cheekbone briskly before she let him go. “That’s true. And you did lie to me...”
He looked unconvinced, but tipped his head slightly to the side. "You could ride on my back, if you'd like."
She laughed a little, shaking his head. "I can't have you bandage me up and then hitch a piggy-back ride. I'm okay."
