She flushed in surprise, glancing up at him. There was hesitation in her eyes that he would be able to detect. “I think you’re lovely too,” she replied quietly. “Are you alright? Do you want to lie down?”
She slipped her arms around his neck, her nose brushing his. “It’s great,” she murmured, watching him appreciatively.
He was watching her curiously. After a moment his brows furrowed. "You really think I can stay on farm with you?"
She considered this before giving him a small smile. “If you want to,” she said with a nod. “If I haven’t annoyed you too much.”
She shook her head adamantly, resting her forehead against his neck and closing her eyes. “You could never be annoying, Z.”
“I mean it,” she replied quietly. “I don’t know what’s going on right now. I’m not quite sure what you want from me. But I just...” She looked away, looking a little sheepish. “I want you around all the time.”
