Lord Kyrios gets a message. The captive has arrived, waiting in a cage in his room. The contents being what seems to be a human girl. She smiles, looking around the room, her arms bound in thick rusted metal chains. Her eyes are closed, except forthe strange third one, scanning the room.
(We're a page into this and it's already the most bizarre thing I've ever seen on this forum. I'm glad I made this now.) The dimming light was still being withheld behind the curtains. The already dark space was growing even shadier, the only glimpse of light emerging briefly as Kyrios steps inside. The door is closed quietly behind the black fox. He crosses the room to the other side, observing the woman as she simply turns her head like a security camera. There was a part of him thankful for the cage. It would likely give a moment or two to squeeze at least one action inside. Hopefully, throwing a decent punch. He walks straight up to the cages. She seemed like an overgrown 5 year old if you ignore the heavy duty chains fastening her hands together. He doesn't crouch, preferring to stand while he speaks to the girl. "Have you been here long?" This was extremely risky. Getting her to interact and work towards a common goal with the Meathead, the Timewarp or The Cactus seemed remotely inconceivable at best. From what he knew of Guinevere, she was far more of a living hand grenade. "Furthermore, what are you doing in my room?"
"I wanna play with the big kids. The cage is boring and you invited the other children to your big bad tea party." She says brightly, opening her eyes, closing her third. "You said working for you was gonna be fun but all you've done is free me amongst weaklings with bodies that split like wet tissue paper. It's like you don't trust me or something." She grins, tilting her head cutely. "You trust a psychotic little psychic, don't you?"
"Right now, I trust you as far as I can throw you." Kyrios said, walking to the cage door. His finger wraps around the latch and pulls it open. "If I know you, your first thought will be to go and say 'hello' to the others. Ordinarily, I'd be only too happy for you to meet your new potential friends but I believe a night's rest would help them. I'd rather ensure they keep their minds relatively functioning for longer than a night, at least." He swings the door open. His voice seemed calm and strangely child-friendly. He seemed more like he was talking as a father here. "However, I'm told that we do have a fellow psychic of some kind in the rooms. Perhaps you can visit him tonight. Alternatively..." The door opens again as a maid walks inside and closes the door. Her head is lowered respectively. "I have something else to warm up with."
She grins enthusiastically, her third eye opening with a slight purple glow. "Is she a toy for me to play with? I do like new toys. They're much more fun to break."
(This is getting seriously psychotic. I'm going to move us forwards a bit to keep us on track.) Kyrios crossed the room slowly, opening the door to his suite. "Knock yourself out." He disappears into the room. He wasn't getting that staff member back at all. The maids have set up breakfast by the following morning. A spread of breads, cereals, plant fertilisers, fruit and coffee. They line up behind the long table, respectfully waiting for the guests. They've already noticed one of their number missing. Although, one of them is wearing a small white flower in her copper hair.
The missing maid returns with the young girl, though she stands be her side instead of among the other maids. She helps to feed her, due to the chains on her arms. Her eyes seem... vacant. Distracted. But she serves nonetheless.
Blade was already out of bed since 4:30 A.M. He's been doing his own military workouts as quiet as he could. It was 7:01 now, but he wasn't finished with last exercise, 400 sit ups. He's already done 700 push ups, 300 jumpingjacks, an hour strait of only balancing on the right arm and on the other, and ten other exercises. Blade began, quickly knocking out the sit ups, he would be finished quickly.
Needle walked into the room slowly. Her footsteps were completely silent, and her smile was creepily obvious. It almost seemed like something was pulling everyone in the room to look at her. She strode over to the food table and took a glass of water and nothing else. She then moved to the table and sat down.
Blade finished his exercise, and within 6 minutes too! He took a quick shower and had gotten dressed in his usual day outfit, blue jeans somewhat tight UNSC T-shirt and steel point combat boots, the only footwear he had. Blade walked out and closed the door behind him, and he made his way towards the dining area.
Stanford walked in, cob-pipe in one hand with the same from his room in the other. He sauntered over where he would sit, putting the book down and grabbing a cup of coffee and apple. As sat down in his seat, he looked up Needle and nodded at her before going back to reading.
Blade made it into the dining room, taking a seat. it made a loud creak but didn't care much. He grabbed a cup of coffee and made sure it had sugar and what not in it. He then grabbed out a book and began reading it.
A man suddenly appears in the middle of the room. No apparent entry point He's not particularly tall. He doesn't look particularly threatening and, as he speaks, he appears to be incredibly well spoken. The only harsh part of him was the thick ginger beard on his face. His receded hair seemed relatively thick. He coughs gently to get attention. "Good Morning." He said, straightening a cuff-link on his suit before looking around. "How are we all? Feeling well rested? I'm surprised to only see four."
"I'm doing just peachy. This maid has the cutest silent scream." Guinevere grins. "I hope everything here will be as fun as she was."
Stanford looked about the figure, closing his book and using a napkin as a bookmark. "Doing just fine. Thank you for asking." He took a sip of his cpffee, giving the little girl a concerned look.
Blade didn't care much for the little girl, he grabbed out a pen and put it in his book to use as a bookmark, "I'm fine, sir."
"Well, excellent!" He said. He smiles warmly and looks around the room. "I am Evan Down, an Empire General and one of your instructors. You'll meet them later unless they're here already." He gives a quick look around the room, checking the walls, corners and ceiling briefly. "No, I suppose not. Regardless, I will be taking you for your initiation and training you in what is expected. Please, call me Evan and any questions are always welcome. I am looking forward to working with you." He said this in a very bright and bubbly way, a genuine grin as he looks around at each of the prospective Generals. "Any questions now?"
"Sir, when will training begin?" Blade asked. He wanted to train his best and he wanted it now, without training he'd probably be depressed.
Stanford nodded, agreeing with Blade. He chugged the rest of his coffee and stood up, taking his book and apple with him. "Other than his question, I'm ready."
