This morning marks a very important milestone in my job searching career. About an hour ago, I submitted my one thousandth application for a job at a computer company in town. With the exception of driving a cab for a month in the summer of 2012, I have not had a paying job in two years. Here's to another thousand applications, maybe I can actually get a job this year...or at least an interview. Watch for cars, everypony!

As of today, I'm officially done GMing. It just isn't fun anymore. I will continue to RP when I can, but until further notice, I will no longer GM. A combination of lack of interest and overall low satisfaction of my own GM abilities have rendered me unable to do it any longer. Thanks, please wait until I'm off site to have the party.

Haters gonna hate, ponies gonna pwn. In other news, RP that is hosted by me is back on! I'll (hopefully) see mah ponehs in the main chat at 6:00 pm pst on Monday the 6th. I've got a great scenario going, and I hope to have all of you there!

On a less related note, the old Honda is coming along great! Just had the brake drums taken apart and had most of it shined up on the wire wheel! Maybe pics someday, we'll see!

Rather than waste a blog post on drama, here's a thought for you all today: Never underestimate the power of the pickle, for it is one of the few things that you can make with a cucumber. More useless wisdom as conditions warrant. Carry on with the plan of the day.

As you may or may not know, I host an EPRP session on Monday nights at 6:00 PM PST. This RP session is by invite only, however one of my players has been dropped due to lack of interest.

As a result, a spot has opened up. No advanced or OP characters allowed, I'm looking for new characters. I'm looking for ponies who actually want to RP and not mess around. If interested, please send me a PM with your character sheet.

When I come to this site, I find there's a lot of positive energy. Folks creating things, making drawings, and writing stories. I like that, I feel that this is a place where I can finally let out all of that creative frustration. Something that I've been meaning to do for quite some time.

Then, because COMBAT! happens. Can't name names, but I've sensed quite a bit of hostility in the chat. I try to have a meaningful conversation, but then the troll button gets pushed, and I have to log out before I say something to get myself banned.

Regarding comments to blog posts or what have you, why do people feel the need to be so condescending? I understand that foul language is not allowed, and straight up trolling isn't either, but apparently being condescending IS allowed. And don't start with your "No, I really mean it." defense. Get over it. You want to be rude and impolite, such trappings do not work on me, so please do not insult my intelligence.

So please, tell me what rules I violated with this blog post. Trolling will be reported.

Why me? Why do I even bother? This is the main reason why I cancelled my RP sessions. No one can consistently show up. Ever. Even when they say they'll be here, they don't. I know life happens, but EVERY TIME I have an RP session? Really? If you don't like the session, I'm not forcing you to play. What's that? Am I offending you? I'm not forcing you to read this, either.

Hello, everypony! Tonight at 6:00 PM PST I will be engaging all you combat savvy types in an arena battle you won't soon forget! It's going to take cunning, skill and a strong sense of will to be able to survive my arena! Sharpen your weapons, don your armor and get your flank to the main chat at the above listed time. Thanks to the high level of patience shown by Eight Star, I now have the official title of GM. (Of course, I knew it was coming, even my initials are GM, right?...right?)

In all seriousness, Eight told me that I needed to conduct a few arena battles to round out my GM combat skills. Fine with me! So all you combat types get your weapons ready, because I'm gonna put you ponies in the fight of your lives! Think I'll write up an RP scenario that actually involves this. Good luck folks!

Zzerna and Fireball were the only two ponies to stick it out in my RP last night. Now I get it, Wednesday isn't exactly the est day to RP, but I gotta tell ya, these two pulled off some amazing critical thinking and puzzle solving skills.

Critical thinking is something I strive to have my players do every RP session. I'm pleased that people actually want to take part in such a light combat RP.

So, last night I was give the opportunity to GM for three fine ponies, Legion, Zzerna and Queen Cyanside. I hope a good time was had by all, the GM portion of my brain enjoyed a much needed workout, having not been used in the last 10 years or so.

These three players exemplify outstanding RP skills, excellent willingness to follow instructions, and great at not hoofing my plot half to death!

Best players a tired old pony can have! Looking forward to having more sessions like that one! Happy Halloween, everyone! Off to take my filly trick-or-treating!

For those of you that weren't on chat last night, I was having a bit of a breakdown. I couldn't turn to friends or family due to the lateness of the hour, so I decided to turn to the folks here at EP.

The response was amazing. I poured my heart out on the general channel. I couldn't believe the positive response I got from several ponies here. There was also one troll, everyone there knows this person, I ignored him as I often do when dealing with trolls.

I'd personally like to thank Dynasty_Charge. This pony stayed right with me the whole time, comparing our experiences and sympathizing with me on a level I have not felt in years, least of all from someone who's never met me.

I was considering deleting my account before I went to the chat, but you awesome folks convinced me otherwise. Not by your words, but by your actions.

This old stallion thanks everyone who listened to me last night. While I'm pretty much a wreck most of the time (just read my fanfics) I'm here for you too!

Talk about a creative outlet! I just had the most fascinating intro RP story hosted by the ever-recourceful Legion in the chat last night! Zzerna joined us and we all had a wonderful time! (Time for some shameless self-promotion here) I'll start posting some fanfiction soon, first, I'll give you the origin of my character, GreyMagus. I'll then follow up with some more insight on the true nature of RP as I have seen it over the last 20 years. Had a great day, everypony!

I realize I'm new here. I've belonged to dozens of sites like this over the last 15 years, and I must say that I've never been treated with the respect that I get here! I mean, at the very least I've been spoken to in a friendly manner. And while I'm not exactly the best pony around, I'd just like to thank everyone that's posted for me. You guys are awesome and I look forward to speaking with many more of you in the future!

On to another and slightly less dramatic area of my mind. Through the show I've learned that anypony earns their cutie mark by discovering their special talent. Why I'm a blank flank is simple: I haven't figured that out yet. Sadder still, I'm 34. It happens to the best of us, I suppose. Being a professional job seeker (by Celestia, I can't believe I'm using that term) comes with almost as many challenges as being a single parent.
