Yeah, I can see how you'd think that. Though, to avoid that problem, there is a disclaimer that makes it so you don't have to fill out the more personal questions.

Why don't these guys talk to the admins before doing this? It looked suspicious! Course I'm gonna ban you! Malon, give me a PM letting me know everything about this ARG. I'm a huge game nerd and I'd like to know more. Maybe I can signal boost a bit.

They didn't let anyone know because usually the worst that happens is the thread gets locked, and that's rare. Anyways, I'm a bit busy now, but I'll try to type up all the info for this ARG and PM it to you a bit later.

I guess so? Though, a guy turns up to ask people for a psych test out of the blue and we have a spam filter that works at a touch of a button. You get chewed up quicker than celery in a woodchipper.

Thanks for talking about it though. I think it's a good idea to do poke the staff on these sites. Your questions look suspect and forum mods or admins have full rights to do as they please. So, if it looks dodgy, it get's banned without warning.
