    What's the difference between a ladder and a step ladder? You step on both of them, so why have they different names? Why aren't their name switched?
    WHY IS THIS STRANgELY TOO LOGICAL FOR THE WORLD'S COMPREHENSION?

    Step ladder is called that due to the fact you simply step up on it. You don't have to climb like you do with a regular ladder. :p

    The step ladder is shorter and more distinct for stepping. That why they wanted to show the difference I guess.

    There's step-ladders higher than a few ladders. Point is invalid.
    And you didn't answer my half-question; should we inverse the names of ladders and step-ladders, since they have the same purpose, and are always mixed up anyways?
