    Certain series are better as Manga than Anime. One Piece, Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist. Detective Conan is good Manga and Anime but the Manga is better. Naruto got old after a while. One Piece can be like Dragon Ball where certain parts drag on, but it's always been worth sticking it out.

    Yeah, I've heard good things about One Piece, but 700 odd episodes seems like a hell of a commitment. Might have to watch some shorter series first.

    The thing with One Piece is the anime has a lot of filler that has no bearing on the story, that's why it's not on my recommended list. If you're looking for something to read then One Piece and Detective Conan are the top of the list, but watch, no I wouldn't recommend One Piece.
