    Beware Brother Bronies!

Just a quick note to say I've stumbled across a site a couple of times now while searching for pony images - It proceeds to tell you about 'scanning your pc' for viruses, if anything it's going to give you one. Just watch what your clicking, make sure you have a decent anti-virus and stay safe fellow bronies ;)

antispyware.co.cc (or similar) is the address to watch out for, though most of these images are re-directs - so just think before you click.

Yeah I found a few Derpy images that pulled that on you

For the reference, a computer site should never scan your computer (it's fake when it says here) unless it's made to do just that (get yourself a native based anti-virus anyway), so don't trust any sites that say they are doing it. Funny, it took it like 10 seconds to "scan" my entire hard-drive, no virus scan works that quickly.

Well, I run Ubuntu, so windows viruses don't scare me.

    You'd be surprised unfortunately

The more people flaunt that little detail around, the more likely there will be more viruses for that OS
I mean Mac has been advertising not having viruses, and people are now starting to make more of them for that very reason.
It's sort of like taunting hackers, "hey, come and get me!"

Pretty self destructive advertising technique imo on Macs part

Indeed, and it's nothing to do with Mac being virus-proof either - it's merely because there so darn expensive, so few people have them - so there is a much smaller audience to aggravate (hence hackers/virus coders don't get as much of a kick out of mac viruses).

Thought I'd sneak that in there without turning this into a mac vs pc thread.. :D

But yeah just be careful guys! =P
    Even you Mac users!
