One of my favorite hobbies is reading. I love to read, especially Sifi. I'm reading Fallout Equestria: Heroes and I'm extremely attached to the mane (ha ha, I'm so clever) character. Just curious if y'all are the same way about other characters.
Holden from The Catcher in The Rye I like Rather I got coined his name as a nickname for a year in Highschool as my classmates compared me so well to him
Two characters that come to mind are Liesel from The Book Thief and Esk from the Discworld series. I got really attached to both of these girls, especially Liesel who completely crushed my heart! I don't think I'd cried over anything in media before reading her story.
“ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ ᴏғ ɪᴛ ᴀs ᴅʏɪɴɢ, said Death. ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ ᴏғ ɪᴛ ᴀs ʟᴇᴀᴠɪɴɢ ᴇᴀʀʟʏ ᴛᴏ ᴀᴠᴏɪᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴜsʜ.” Rincewind: may I take a book from the Library please? Librarian: ook! ook! Rincewind: excuse me? Librarian: ook! ook ee! Rincewind: I see, um, I need something in order to take out a book. Librarian: ook ook Rincewind: toothpaste? fingers? gloves? something in your hand? Librarian: ook ook Rincewind: A dentest? Hypitosis? you want some mouthwash, that's it, you want some mouthwash, I'm sorry, but I'm already spoken for. Libarian: oooooook! Rincewind: oh! a library card! well why didn't you say so in the first place? well why didn't you say so in the first place? what happens if just barge in without giving you a Library card? yes, well look, unfortunately, I don't have one, ape. Librarian: ook Rincewind: ape, on ya, upon my person, yes, upon my person, whew! I didn't say monkey! (gets hit in the head by the Librarian) did you get the number off that donkey cart? Rincewind and Death would have to be my favorites. And that conversation with the librarian came from the video game.
The Warrior Heir is a great book.. all the Heir books. Great series. All other book "characters" are from Manga.
I don't read many books, and everything I do read is mostly fanfiction. Right now I'm reading/listening to Fallout: Equestria, and I"m just hitting the halfway mark after several days of legit power reading. The only books that I've read that aren't fanfiction or related to games or cartoons is The Dark Tower series.
When I was young, I read this children's series called Artemis Fowl. Artemis was a young criminal mastermind, and I would've loved to be him. Clean, professional, courteous, and in control.
Game of Thrones is pretty fantastic, but it's hard to get attached to a character because of how quickly they get killed off. Hey, I like- And he's dead. How about- No, she's dead too *looks through list of living characters* x3 George R.R. Martin is probably the only current-day author brave enough to kill off so many important characters. He has to keep making new ones to replace them, it's hitting near Shakespeare!
