My name is Daniel, I live in Estonia, it's a country, in a city of Kohtla-Järve, I hate this city. One of the oldest CIS-brony community members, from year 2011, at the moment, hate CIS-brony community. Also, I'm a true baclofen and nootropic junkie, psychonaut. One of the best pony-minecraft roleplayers in CIS, guilty for destroying few servers. Love music, drugs and my work (no, I hate it). I also work on chemical factory as machinery operator, so be free to ask about NOTHING, I don't know anything in chemistry, ask me about philosophy or history of Estonia. Or drugs. Two of my friends read it out of curiosity, one recovered but the other went on to read other grimdark fics just because. I won't go anywhere near it.

Remind yourself that Pinkie would never do anything like that. Overall, just remember that it's not real. I mean, I know the show itself isn't real, but that 'fic isn't canon. The worst we've seen Pinkie do when she went insane was throwing a party for imaginary friends in a hopeless (and depressing) attempt to cheer herself up. Now for a rant! Sorry about this, especially since I'm treating this like it's Serious Business, but the topic of Cupcakes always puts me in a bad mood. ---------------------- The fandumbdoms reaction to Cupcakes in general makes me want to headdesk at times. I actually prefer people who can laugh it off to people who say it "ruined Pinkie" for them. I just can't understand that. No offense to those people, but it just sounds silly. I haven't read that story, but I've briefly read fanfics like it for other fandoms, and it's never effected my view on a character. Why? Because it's usually painfully out-of-character. I've read the Cupcakes tvtropes page--which is scary enough--and apparently Cupcakes!Pinkie is "disturbingly in-character", and from the examples I can see why someone would think that. Except, you know, one little thing. Pinkie isn't a murderer. That's OOC enough for me to dismiss that "fan"fic's premise. All I saw in canon Pinkamena was a depressed, lonely, and (after a while) angry Pinkie. Cupcakes!Pinkie was none of those things, just a psychopathic, completely out-of-character murderer. Cupcakes came before "Party of One" (well, before "Party of One" aired, anyway, and the episode was likely written before the fanfic), and therefore I'm pretty sure she didn't have straight hair in that 'fic, and it Bugs Me (in capital letters) that Pinkamena = Cupcakes!Pinkie in this fandom ever since that episode. I know personally that loneliness, depression, and anger does not suddenly turn someone into a killer (it also doesn't usually lead to you throwing a party for inanimate objects, but this is Pinkie Pie we're talking about...plus, well, I have a whole other theory on that, but I won't get into that unless someone asks). If anything, the anger just makes you feel MORE alone, because as we saw, it leads to you pushing others away, even those that genuinely want to help you. Thankfully for Pinkie, Rainbow Dash was NOT having any of that. tl;dr I'm not mad, I'm disappointed and a bit sad. /rant
