Distant Love

Blaze Shine didn't know what to do. The first thing he noticed were "jobs." Of course, this was going to be easy. He walked to a mare, she looked fairly decent, but right before Blaze could even get a foot close to her a big bulky Stallion took a step right in front of Blaze, "I don't think so. If you even so much as touch my Mare, then your toast."
Blaze Shine chuckled to himself, "Well, aren't you the brute. Listen, I don't want any trouble, all I want is just a friendly conversation th-"
Blaze Shine was interrupted when the big stallion laughed, chatting the attention of some of the mares and other stallions, "A friendly conversation? Please, with how wimpy you look, I doubt my mare would even TRY to talk to you."

 

Out of the corner of her eye, Nightshade noticed what looked like an altercation between two large stallions.
"Well now..." she thought to herself, "This looks entertaining."
Making a mental note to be prepared for a possible fight, she turned her attention back to Vladimir and Bright.
"Vampire, hmm? I've met a few vampires in the past. They were quite polite, if not a little... bitey."

 

Nightshade, trained to watch her surroundings at all times, saw what happened to the unfortunate mare in the nice dress.
"Oh dear. That is most unfortunate."
She sighed, and stepped away from Vladimir and Bright with a polite nod.
Finding a nice quiet corner, she whispered quietly, "Outside, the mare's ruined dress and mane were suddenly returned to pristine condition."

Giggling slightly, Nightshade walked out to check on her.

 

"Now then, would you look at that, an idiot!" The buffed Stallion yelled out as some pony ran out of the building embarrassed. Sunspot tried to hold back the fury as best as he could.
Blaze looked up at the stallion, angrily and furious, "Let me ask one question, do you know what a K.O. punch is like?"
The big yellow stallion looked down at the yellow orange and red pony who was an inch shorter, and simply laughed catching the attention of almost the whole party from the view of it, "And what type of-" The stallion was punched in the jaw and fell to the ground. He was completely knocked out.

"I'm leaving, if theres any pony who wants to come at me, better do it know." Blaze Shine said walking tall and firmly due to the anger he endured.
He walked down the street away from the party to go home, disappointed and enraged, "Great, looks like I skewed it up, AGAIN! Why Do I Even Bother To Attempt Love?!" Blaze continued down the street, his home being a few blocks away.

 

Suppressing a grin, Nightshade spoke to the mare.
"Are you okay? You seemed upset when you ran out, but I guess it wasn't as bad as it looked."
She smiled warmly.
"Why don't you come back inside? We're scheduled for rain tonight, and I'd hate to see such a nice dress get ruined."

 

"Strange things happen all the time in Equestria. It's best not to question it."
Her smile became a mischievous grin as she followed Jack inside.
"I'm Nightshade, by the way. It's nice to meet you, too."

 

Sadow was out in the ever free forest, sparing with some manticore. "What a bore." Shadow said striking the manticore and then leaving the forest. He went out to train with th emanticore daily, he never used a real sword though, for he couldn't think of actually killing inacent creatures. "Well off to this Singles Party" Shadow said after showering, puting on a pair of skinny's and a My chemical bromance shirt on. "Hope it's not a black tie event he said" as he put mane jell in the back of his mane and spiked it, then streightend the sides and a bangs making a flap over his right eye. "Maybe I can find somebody" He thought as he put on his belt, and lip rings as he left his house. Shadow was unusual in the fact that he loved to wear clothes. Shadow arrived at the party and imediatly felt his heart sink. It seemed it was black tie formal, and now everypony was starring at him. He made his way to one side of the room and stayed there, embarresed. "Stupid, stupid, stupid." He said to himself.

 

Blaze Shine made it to his house, his rage had finally worn off and he was depressed, which was not new. He was in front of the door, but something had struck him. Something told Blaze to not go into the house, something told him to go back where he came from, 'I can't believe you threw all of that away. You know, there were some mares who were impressed." Sunspots inner told him.
'Hiw can I correct what I did? I skrewed up, as usu-'
'DUDE! Seriously, pull yourself together because its not over. Balls to the walls, stop acting like a princess, and GET IN THERE!'

Blaze Shine turned from the door, and took off, running at full speed, "Man, if I'm going to this party then I need to stop getting into fights!"
Blaze wasn't too far away, just two blocks away.

 

(I dun fell behind. oops. oh well.)

Vladimir watched Nightshade leave after hearing her whisper under her breath. He tried to ignore it and turned back to Bright. "Yea, I do work at night mostly... That's how I got the nickname. I'm an artist, basically."

 

Blaze had finally made it back, he didn't even break a sweat either! He walked back into the building where the party was, and there seemed to be more activity than before. Blaze walked, some of the ponies looking at him, but after a few seconds they turned their attention back to what they were doing. He made his way over to the large bowl of red liquid, 'Play it- No, act yourself.'

 

Shadow, still sulking because of his foolish chooses saw blaze. "Better stay away from him, his aura shows we would cause one heck of a fight* Shadow looks around noticeing that ponys are still spotting him and looking and laughing. He cursed his style and wished for somepony to talk to. "I figured I just be myself, i don't want to meet somepony and be all spiffy, then they see me like this and have second thoughts." *sigh* Shadow fell back on his honches.

 

Blaze looked around, wanting to start up a conversation. After what he did, no pony would probably want to talk to him, especially what he did to that bigger stallion. He spotted the same mare who was talking to other mares, probably wouldn't go over there again. Maybe there somepony that would like about the stuff he talks to himself about. He spotted several mares, but they seemed to have already been taken, "Hm, who can I speak to? Certainly there has to somepony thats bored or is very talkative?" Blaze told himself as he poured a glass of punch for himself.

 

Upon looking around Shadow noticed that Blaze had nopony to talk to. "I guess I can try" he thought. He got to his hooves and trotted over to Blaze. "Hi, my names Shadow, nice to meet you." Shadow said extending a hoof.

 

A stallion walked up to Blaze, 'Great what now? Couldn't hurt to have a friendly convo.'
Blaze extended hoof for a hoofshake, "Names Blaze Shine, it's nice to meet you too."d
'Oh dear god what are you doing?!'
'Hey, I'm bored so shut it!'
'Seriously? ***.'
Blaze was truing to read the stallion quickly, everypony had the ability to read another ponies soul/personality, but they need to learn how to control it first.
"You can call me Blaze for short, I run the Blacksmith not too far from here."

 

"I know what your doing." Said Shadow. "I read you when you first came in. For your own sake please don't try to see in my soul." Shadow said. "So, you look like a nice stallion, one who can find a mare easily. Why would somepony like you be here?" Shadow asked as he surveyed his surroundings and looked at blaze.

 

"Because, I don't have any friends. I have been studying the term "love" recently and wanted to try it out. Well, apparently it isn't working out the way I wanted. But still, I don't really know what its like in the real world other than the world of business." Blaze Shine said, looking at the crowd of ponies who seemed to be having a good time. He spotted the same buffed up pony, who had looked as if he lost some teeth. Of course, Blaze has never backed down from anything, "I don't know how to act around others, plus, I've only been taught to never speak to one another, only to create, sell and gain riches. I never wanted it, but my father would beat it in to me till I finally understood why he wanted me to do so. It was so he can benefit from me."

 

"I know, after all I did read your soul." Shadow said as he put a hoof around his new aqatence. "Now look, all you need to do is talk. Just tell somepony what you like, or a joke, even just say hello. For you i'm sure everything would work out." Shadow said flashing a rare smile at Blaze.
