Blaze Shine listened to the conversation those two pines were having, but soon blocked it out of his mind. Out of this whole party, there was nopony to talk to. He spotted the same mare from before, before he had got into a fight with that yellow stallion, but she was talking to a Stallio- 'Wait a minute," Blaze neared the two. As he got closer, he noticed the Stallion was harassing the young mare. She looked a little younger than Blaze, but that wasn't the case. The older Stallion must have been in his late forties, he sounded perverted and had the greed and lust in his eyes. He was trying to get the mare to do something "special" for him, but Blaze Shine was NOT going to have any of that. Blaze walked up to the Stallion, "Excuse me sir, but I don't think she wants to-" "Piss Off!!" The Stallion yelled out, continuing his assault on the mare. Blaze sighed as he put a hoof on the old stallion and quickly and forcefully turned him around, making the old timer meet the gaze of hatred, "Now then," Blaze said, his tone becoming venomous and his voice getting deeper, "I was going to ask politely if you could stop harassing the poor mare, but now, I'm not asking," Blaze was not slouching like he normally does, he was standing tall easily over towering the pony, "Stop harassing her, or else you'll receive a far worse punch than my yellow friend over there." "O- okay, if you i- insist!" The pony quickly ran out of the building, scared. "Am I really that scary?"
The massive stallion found himself looking at the scene, watching the the older stallion run after being confronted by the younger male. After the older one ran off, he walked closer to the young Stallion, wondering how the mare and the young stallion would interact, though staying in the shadows to make sure he would not intrude all too much. His intentions were not of violence in this town...
If there was one thing that Nightshade knew she could count on, it was the fact that ponies had a short attention span. She had heard stories of one of the princesses, a hero many times over, being unable to get a cab in Manehatten. If ponies could ignore that sort of thing, surely they would have already forgotten about her display at the party. She sat in her apartment, absently petting Hemlock, and thinking about the ponies she had met at the party. Bright Heart and Vladimir had both seemed nice, as had Jackpot. Shadow, on the other hoof, had insulted her, turned a playful sparring match into an actual fight, and forced her to reveal her greatest secret. Any attraction that she had felt towards him initially was long gone. Still, those other three... "I'm not ready to give up on this just yet. I'm going back. I'm sure they've already forgotten about it, anyway." Fifteen minutes later, she walked back into the party. As she had hoped, nopony was paying any attention to her.
"Thank you," The mare asked Blaze as she looked up at him, "Mind if I ask your name?" "Blaze Shine-" Blaze was interrupted when he heard somepony yell out, "Your Blaze Shine?! The Pony Who Runs The Blacksmith?!" "Yeah, that would be me," A pony, easily small, Blaze could tell she was almost about to be a young adult, "And who might you be?" "My names Silver Blaze! My last name started with yours! I'm such a HUGE fan!" Blaze Shine turned to the mare, and she gave the look 'I'll leave you two to it.' Blaze sighed, "Alright, how old are you exactly?" He asked calmly as he could. "I'm 18!" She answered. She was a little smaller than the other mares, but seem to look mature enough. "Alright, so tell me, why are you such a huge fan of me?" "Because, your all over the news! You have been known to be in ruthless fights, always coming out victorious, you were even on the cover a magazine when you were younger!" The mare pulled out a magazine with... Blaze Shine on it? 'Wait, when did I become fam- Oh!' 'Yeah, you were in A LOT of fights and have been known as the steel colt. You seriously don't remember?' "Well, umm, Silver Blaze, why have you come for me?" "Can I please have your autograph?" Blaze pulled out a pen, and put his signature on the magazine on it, "Thank you thank you thank you! I can't thank you enough!" Something about this mare intrigued Blaze, it wasn't her excitement, it was the fact she came all of this way only to find a 'use to be' fighter. "Well," Blaze said, "Before you leave, you wanna talk some, kinda get to know each other?" The mares smile grew, "Sure thing!"
The huge stallion chuckled deeply and softly, and went his way, looking around for a nice place to get a night's sleep. The male wasn't much of a sleeper, but he needed it. He had not slept for a while, coming from the far north. He looked around the town slowly, enjoying how peaceful the place seemed, though the recent experience sort of made him wonder what was up with this town. His eyes drooped, but he tried his best to stay awake until he found a place to rest.
Jackpot was inside volunteering to cleaning up the mess left behind caused by the fight. From what appeared to be a civil and joyful mood suddenly turning violent as some broken tables and the ceremonial ice sculpture somehow being set on fire. She did not see this happening several hours ago, but it was the least she could do.
The huge stallion couldn't help but wonder why there didn't seem to be anyplace to rest inside. But he was so exhausted from his travel that eventually he collapsed on the side of the street, thoughts running through his head:Why is there no place to sleep? Ah, heck with it, I'll just plop down here... not the first time I slept in dirt..... And the large male passed out exhausted.
From topic to topic, Silver Blaze kept jumping into them. She seemed so keen on getting Blaze Shines attention that Blaze would have to pay attention. She was even talking to other ponies about the fights he's been in and how Blaze would finish his opponents. Blaze didn't know he was famous until he remembered the injury his head took. There was no stopping this mares rambling, but she was also speaking at a low volume, which kinda helps. Blaze looked around for something else to do, he didn't hate the mare for gods sake, but it was starting to get annoying. Blaze noticed that on emare from before cleaning up. "Um, please excuse me Silver Blaze, I'll be right back." Blaze Shine said in a soft form. He walked up to that one mare, "Hey, you need any help?"
Nightshade spotted Jackpot working to clean up some damage left from the fight, and cursed inwardly. She had tried to put everything right before she left, but it was clear that she had not done a thorough enough job. Wordlessly, she walked over and began helping to clean up the mess.
Blaze Shine began helping with cleaning, seeing is how another pony decided to help so he might as well do the same.
