Hello everypony! Foxytail again with another community post to keep you updated around the site and its changes. Got a fair few things to say this time so let's get this started! First of all, those of you that tune in to Everypony Radio for the Floxy broadcasts will notice that we have a new intro! Made by the ever resourceful Flash (with a little help by me), we hope you enjoy this new clip and give a great big brony hug to Flash for making it! Many of you might not use this area, but I have heard a fair number of voices concerned about how it has been run and moderated and have decided to make a few changes in this area to help smooth some things out. The biggest of which is a new layout within it. Rather than just the link to the RP forums, there shall be new subsections added over the weekend. The three areas will be "Character Sheets", "One on One" and "Group RP's". I hope this will make RPing within them easier and make them easier to create, find and use. Also, to help with these changes, there will be an RP Moderator to give advice and keep us in touch with the RPers to make sure you voice is being heard. So, everyone stomp your hooves for Tyro The Fox! He will keep us up to date and handle ideas for the RP forums so if you can't reach one of the admins, he'll be happy to take your questions. I will also be discussing possible rule changes or a separate set of rules for the RP forums so please don't hesitate to approach me or Tyro about rules you'd like to see and we will discuss them! The chat moderators are Poetic Pony, Merriweather, Flutterguy and The Saikyo Brony, so be respectful and fair to them and don't forget to have fun! It's not just the RP forums that are getting an overhaul though! After some thought, we have decided to make a few changes around the forums and add some new areas. I'll do my best to list the changes below, but I ask you bear with us as the changes are made. There is a chance that some threads may get lost in the changes and we truly apologize for any problems caused by this. So, the changes are as follows: - The art/media areas are going to be merged due to confusion of the seperate uses. They are going to be made into single art/media areas and the pony/non-pony split shall be made clear within the forum to make easy to see the difference. - The Role Play Section is going to get its own area, which will be named "Ponyville Theatre" (thank you Flash for the name!). - Within Site discussion, there will be two new areas; Community discussion and Radio discussion. This is where one would talk about issues or ideas for the site's community or radio's benefit. - Within the Library, there will also be a Community Discussion added for discussion of the brony community in general. - As we have an introduction area to welcome bronies, there will be a farewell area for those that cannot stay for a period of time. While unfortunate, we feel it's necessary so that members have a place to be remembered which won't get lost in the general discussion area. - With the artistic area there will also be a collaborative area for those seeking help or partners in a venture, be it art, programming, video making or cookery! - A meetup planning area for those social bronies who'd like to seek each other out to meet and have fun! As you can see, a lot of changes, and they shall be occuring during the week with as little disruption to the forums as possible, and again I apologize for any problems that may cause during these changes. Thirdly, I'd like to say a congratulations to Zephyr, who has officially been made a global moderator for the forums! He's definitely earned this place and shall be helping me pick out some more bright ponies to join the staff in the coming weeks. Tyro, Zeph, you're going up in the world buddehs! Also, yeah I agree with Ron, the meet-up section will be useful.
Fantastic news! Glad to see the forum layout is getting cleaned up and organized. Very nice. And congratz to Zeph and Tyro for the promotions, you two certainly deserve it!
Congratulations to both Tyro and Zephyr for the promotions! *Stomps hooves* Good to see that the forums are getting cleaned up a bit. Should help clear up confusion and make the media and RP areas easier to use. Congratulations in advance for those who get selected in the future.
I could see nothing wrong with the reorganisation of the forums, which is always a good thing. And congratulations to our new übermod, Zephski, and our new RP mod, Tyro. Also, a query: If Merri and Poetic don't moderate the entire forums, what do they moderate? Should we just call Zeph an admin?
They are community mods. As well as normal forum moderation, they're trusted members to go to for advice on personal conflicts, problems with either staff or other users, suggestions for the site and other things.
That whole idea just seems incredibly alien to me. If we have a whole wealth of people to look to around here, why should there be specific people who you're encouraged to talk to?
Thanks everybody for the congratulations, I'll do my best to be the best Global Mod I can be haha. Some are more qualified for such a thing, which is why we have different positions.
Congratulations to those who have gotten the promotions! By the way, is there a chance we can get a hierarchy chart of the mods / admins / DJs? I know we have a list, but it's not too clear who to go up to in the chain of command should a problem arise. Note: I don't plan on having to need to do such a thing, but it would be useful to know.

Awesome to see the chat is up. Just one thing, I read in another thread that you may lock and del the general chat thread when the chat would go back up. Doesn't that seem a little harsh to you?
We've already said we don't plan on locking and deleting the general chat thread. Sort of. If we did lock the general chat thread a new one would be made immediately so a better eye could be kept on it, but keep in mind this has a very small chance of occurrence.
