Pandora and the Hellwalkers, having stayed near the plane, were already on board. With Adaria back, they were ready to depart for Europe. Within minutes, the plane was in the air and New York was rapidly fading in the distance. "This is it, folks. A quick seventeen hour flight, and we'll finally be in Britain."
"East Midlands airport is where we'll be landing. Then its off to old market square the hub of the city of Nottingham. Depending on whether we stumble upon a steam tram or not it will take us anywhere between an hour and a half to 4 and a half hours." To pass the time Pandora decided to tell stories about Robin Hood and the history of Nottingham.
Adaria spent her time reading an up-to-date atlas on the geo-political and geographical map of the new world, such as where the sea-levels were now and what recorded settlements. While the UMB itself was powerful in Europe in terms of economics, in terms of sheer territorial size, Cryotech was absolutely enormous despite it's relatively small population. However, the master of the world was still Elysium due to it's ridiculous technological advancements. Hyper advanced technology, such as terraforming, weaponry that would scatter their enemies to the winds, AI intelligence, Power-Armor ,off-world colonization , medical advancements eliminating almost all human diseases, sciences. While Cryotech was the only nation that could hit Elysium hard enough to almost destroy it during it's foundation, times have changed. For the better or worse? Nobody knew yet. "Elysium...." Adaria spoke. "Really close to the Impact crater, yet they keep the riches of life to themselves. While I'm fascinated about who they are, I must admit that it does not look like the nicest place. It's government is pro-human totalitarian, but it used to be a democracy, wonder what happened..."
"War," Iriko had said, looking of a window, "War is what happened." -Meanwhile- Psychotech was in the mountains, they were newly created after years of eruption and tectonic plates colliding in with each other. There was a large throne door, and on it had ancient text, that of which existed before the medieval decades. He pushed it opened enough to squeeze through, and in there, was a walk way with old railing. Below was complete nothingness, he then bowed when he made it to a circular piece of earth that barely stood connected with the walkway. Psychcotech then bowed as a large low toned growl was heard, "Master, I have returned with news." The growling stopped, but a rather disturbing demonic voice came about, "THEY HAVE BETRAYED US." "No sir, not yet, they have removed any testing and units from within the Frozen Kingdom." "ELYSIUM HAVE NO RIGHT TO RULE A WORLD OF DARKNESS AND TORMENT, THEY ONLY WANT WHAT THEY DESIRE, THEY WANT MORE AND MORE, AND WHEN THEY HAVE CONSUMED ALL OF EARTH, IT STILL WON'T BE ENOUGH." "I understand my lord, by now they have the most of advanced technology and they are far strong-" "THEY ARE ARROGANT, THEY HAVE REFUSED THE CHRONOS TECHNOLOGY, THE EBONY TECHNOLOGY, AND LASTLY, HAVEN TECHNOLOGY. WITHIN THE ISLAND OF ROLVA, THERE IS A KINGDOM THAT OF WHICH TEAMS HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED. GO THERE, AND EXTRACT THE INFORMATION FROM YOUR MEN, THEN BRING IT BACK TO ME," A large scaly snout was revealed, well barely part of it, "BRING IT TO ME, AND TOGETHER AS ONE, THE TECH FAMILY WILL RECLAIM THIS WORLD, AND WE SHALL RESTORE IT TO ORDER AND CHAOS AS EQUALS." "Yes, my lord." Psychotech said. He got up and left to the shuttle, shutting the door behind him. Once he returned to the shuttle, he told the pilot specific coordinates to his objective.
Steve was a very fast reader, and the long flight to Britain had given him the opportunity to read several books about post-impact history. When he learned about Elysium, and it's advanced technology, things suddenly began to come together. "Elysium is supplying Cryotech. It's the only explanation that makes sense." He frowned. "That means that Elysium is responsible for the attack in Nipton. If we hadn't been there, how many innocent people would have died?" Steve knew that his anger was illogical. After all, the United States didn't exist anymore. Why was he so furious that somebody would attack it? "When we're done here, I'm going to Elysium. I don't know how, but I'm going to make them pay for what they've done." The sun had just appeared over the horizon when Steve, filled with a newfound purpose, brought the plane in for a landing at the airport.
Imperator Weiss had just finished smoking another cigar when he received a holographic message on the right side of his armchair. He opened the message up to reveal a small women dressed in a labcoat with purple colored hair saluting the Imperator. "My leader, Project Omega has been completed. Warheads are now being fitted as we speak and should be operational within the hour." The women spoke. Weiss had a smile upon his face, his super-weapon was now completed. "Excellent work, Dr. West. You and your teams efforts to build upon a better future have payed off, and as reward, each of you will be receiving a 5-star holiday to any location on the planet and a total collected sum of 5 billion credits." Weiss said. "You all deserve it, history and humanity shall remember all of you." Dr.West had the biggest smile on her face as she bowed out of respect as the message closed. Weiss now looked at real-time footage of an enormous satellite, with five holes where warheads are to be placed. It is to be the ultimate weapon, the peak of human warfare technology. With this weapon alone, Elysium had already reunited the world. If anyone is to disobey now, they would pay dearly. The strongest weapon of mankind was to be finished within an hour, and it's design was hauntingly beautiful...and terrifying. (Sorry that I've been away. It was my birthday on Friday and I've been away doing stuff.)
(Hey guys, I am so sorry, but I must drop out of this rpg. I am too far behind and overwhelmed, so i'll "see" y'all in other rpgs and stuff.)
Iriko walked out of the plane, stretching. He popped his knuckles and neck slowly, luckily there were no enemies around, he would be an open shot. Of course, throughout the years of being shot in the shoulders and neck, he learned how to block by listening to his surroundings. He looked around, "Eh, could look better."
Pandora walked out from the plane and quickly walked over to some hellwalkers to explain their arrival. She then returned to the group. "There's a somewhat old electric shuttle bus, which we could use if you so desire. I also believe some of the items in the duty free have remained untouched for a long time. Though please avoid the food."
Steve walked over to the bus and looked at it thoughtfully. After a few minutes, he opened a panel on side and fiddled with some wires, charging the batteries with his own bio-electricity. "There. Fully charged. We can leave as soon as everybody is ready." A quick search of the airport turned up an old baggage trailer, which Steve hooked to the bus with some heavy chain. It easily held his motorcycle, as well as the recovered weapons, and everybody's belongings.
Adaria took what she needed as she hopped onto the bus and placed her belongings in the baggage trailer. Once she was on the bus, she strapped in and was ready to go. ----------------------------------------- The ponytailed man was aboard an extremely fast carrier that seemed to cross enormous amounts of distances within an astonishingly short time. By the time that the Elysium shuttle had arrived within the borders of what used to be England, the shuttle activated it's stealth drives as it completely vanished from view as the engines seemed to sound silent and power was reduced as little as possible, easily slipping through the UMB's defenses. Somewhere between Derby and Nottingham, the ship shot a strange blue pod onto any available land, which shortly crashed into the earth and caused a small crater upon impact. Once the pod made contact, the ship turned around and landed elsewhere. The doors of the pod opened as the ponytailed man stood onto English soil, dressed in shockingly advanced grey and black armor and using strange black 'glasses' across his face. At his side was a gun, and his suit had a plasma blaster built into his suit that he could fire from his hand, but the real prize was the sword at his side. His mission had now begun...
Steve walked into the old duty-free shop. Anything valuable, like alcohol or tobacco, was long gone, looted decades earlier. The cash register lay smashed on the floor, whatever cash had been within was probably the first thing to be to stolen after the disaster. The shelves were coated with a thick layer of dust, and a number of equally dusty bottles of expensive perfumes and cheap souvenirs sat on the shelves. He walked right past, ignoring the useless junk, and kicked open the door to the back room. He knew exactly what to look for. After all, he'd done this thousands of times. Behind a faded old photograph of an impressive looking yacht, Steve found the safe. As was so often the case, it was still locked, its contents just waiting to be recovered by someone with sufficient skill, and the right tools. From his pocket, he pulled a small, homemade device. Essentially a platinum rod wrapped with copper wire and asbestos and stuffed into the body of an old soldering iron, it allowed him to use his body's electricity to heat the rod to well over the melting point of steel. Within minutes, he had cut through the lock and opened the safe. Ignoring the paperwork and cash within, he quickly grabbed the most valuable items; a bottle of Scotch whiskey, a bottle of Champagne, a diamond engagement ring, and a Polaroid Onestep camera with a box of film. Somebody had been obviously been preparing for a marriage proposal before impact. Steve briefly wondered if the unknown couple from a century earlier had been together at the end. He sighed, realizing that he would never know. Pouring water from his flask to cool the tool, he slipped it back into his pocket and walked out of the shop, carrying his newest treasures in an old shopping bag he found. Grinning, he boarded the bus and climbed into the driver's seat. He would at least try to have some fun before going after Elysium.
Pandora was sitting down in the bus at the closest one towards the drivers seat. She decided to be the groups navigator at least until they reached Lucifer and Natasha. She then proceeded to tell Steve the different routes he could take from here to the city centre.
The ponytailed man traveled across the English landscape. It was quite a windy day, the wind would have been blowing against his coat if he wore one. Heading towards Nottingham, he was assigned to eliminate a potential threat, a particularly nasty Hellwalker governor that had a fairly low standing in the political center of the UMB, but had an enormous influence that extended even into Tech lands. Weiss needed him killed due to discovered plans that he planned on using his influence to spark violence across Europe, and in turn, Elysium If the mission went well, he would be keeping the peace and doing the world a favor. The last thing he needed was to be interrupted... He came to the entry of Nottingham, where he found himself at checkpoint. His target was near the center of town, all he needed was to be inside of the city and the governor was as good as dead. He had no quarrel with the UMB and the Hellwalkers , he was just doing his job.
Tech troops began marching in with tanks, as stye were told to give the man some support and protection. They were ordered to not hurt civilians unless necessary. One o the tanks side doors opened and a scrawny man with glasses and a ten foot scythe stepped, greeting the Ponytailed man. ---------------------------- Iriko sat on the bus silently, before then had gathered all of his gear he had collected. He ran into a few scavengers, they weren't very friendly, but they did offer water however. "So, you think any of the Tech or Elysium troops'll be there?"
Some Guards and soldiers approached the ponytailed man. "Please explain why you are here. Without proper clearance from Lucifer himself and the correct paperwork from the Elysium embassy here we cannot authorise your stay and all armaments and tanks must be handed to the UMB armed forces." One of the large bulking hellwalkers said with a Bren in his hand. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "We are getting close 25 more minutes till we get there. Also if there are any Tech or Elysium troops. They better have the right permissions from Lucifer himself otherwise they have made a mistake." Pandora said.
The scrawny man walked up to the bulky troop, "Um, sorry, excuse me sir, but we do have clearance to enter this area. If you refuse to comply we will use harmful force againstyou and your people," He holds up a paper with the signatures on, "Read it, we have clearance."
"Cant see Lucifer's nor do I see Natasha's. Please dont bother us until you get those please." The hellwalker saud clearly towering the scrawny man.
The man chuckled as he flipped through the pages trying to find- AHA!!! "Um, I do these are it." He showed the paper to the hell walker, this scrawny man was known as BioTech, on elf the strongest 6 of the family. In the hell walker writing, there it was, the signature of the two leaders.
