(I think that we should just go along. I mean, it won't change anything drastic. All it would do is get us past this confusion.)
(Well, Starlight, what set up do you want us to proceed with? We can just believe that it happened. NBD.)
A single student from the back stepped forwards. "I have proof it was them, officer" He was just taller than Lark. His dark hair was pushed to the left. His appearance was somewhat a mix between unique yet ordinary. He took his phone out and opened a video. It was of Bobby smacking a phone out of the teacher's hand then Lark smashing through the window and zapping the other teacher with Bobby finally punching the first teacher unconscious. "They're freaks... monsters. Take them away, please" He didn't sound scared but the students around them began to agree and murmur with various "Yeah!" and "Take them away". The SWAT officers looked at each other then proceeded to advance towards Lark, Bobby and Viktoria.
[....still a bad set up....sorry but it makes no sense...] Something was very wrong. What happened to the teacher. The two on the floor were not teacher of the school. Lastly there was the video. In RWBY something simular happened but the difference was that Yang had attacked the boy. Illusion or not she attacked him. He hadn't attacked anyone he hadn't move and inch form the spot he was standing in. Honesty was the best policy. But maybe he needed to throw in a pinch of insanity. He had always been told his laugh was creepy. "Muh huh ha ha ha ha. You are all being decieved. Think about it that student is not one of our classmates. Those teachers aren't teachers of this school. Lark did fly in thought the window. She attacked two men who attacked me. I haven't moved an inch from this spot. I've only defended myself. I called 911 and got shot multiple times for it. The truth is the truth." Bobby Shapeshifted iron blades along his arms his face was covered with a carbon shell his heart was also covered. "If I wanted to hurt anyone I surely could. I could kill you all right now. You should be afraid of me." Bobby shapeshifted back to normal his heart and his brain where still protected, but it was now less obvious. "But the simple truth is I will only act in defense. If you believe the lies placed before you officers. Then I will fight you. I will take you down and take down everyone who get in the way of me walking out the door. But if you take the liars out of this room and allow me to go in peace. Well you won't hear from me again." He took a step forward his first step since this whole affair started. Best policy or not it was time to spout one lie. One not truth to protect his family. "I have committed one crime, but you'll never find the proof. Never find the body. Bobby Logan Taylor is dead and I took his life. I wanted to try to be normal I guess that isn't an option."
[I think we just don't understand the full thing yet, Lioconvoy. This is an illusion to the others, but not to us.] "So we're going the threatening route, huh?" Lark thought, slightly amused by the theatrics. "I feel like we could have easily passed that off as a camera trick." She glanced at the window. She could fly away, Bobby could shapeshift into something that could get him out. But Viktoria... Lark wasn't quite sure what she could do, but despite her casual escape attempts, and her lack of magic use, Lark thought that Viktoria radiated a strange sense of power. Unfortunately, that wouldn't help right now. "You're in over your heads. You do not understand this world you have stepped into. Back up. Go look for the injured. We haven't hurt a single soul, and we really wouldn't want to start now." She smiled slightly, trying to seem like the guns didn't scare her. "Evacuate the room. Get people away from us if you must. But you're going to leave the room without us."
Viktoria witnessed everything with a frightened look on her face, and the space around her suddenly seemed to heat up a bit. She took a step back, trying to keep bad thoughts from her mind. A shuddering breath escaped her lungs. "S-she's right! We did nothing wrong, and you h-have more to worry about than us... Unless a problem starts."
The SWAT exchange looks. "Aliens?" "Nah, impossible. They're mad" "But they're... different... did you see what they did?" "Yeah... but... it's crazy!" The SWAT man that looks as if to believe that they're aliens quickly pulls out a stun gun. Clearly shaking he hesitates whether to fire. The other SWAT looks at his comrade and aims his 9mm sub machine-gun at them as well. Simultaneously, Bobby, Kara, Viktoria and Lark hear a feminine voice. "Run. Don't think. Just run"
Lark was the first one to move. She bolted, not towards the window, but towards the SWAT team. Instead of using her shaky flight powers, she simply relied on her purely human side, and as the adrenaline was pounding through her veins, she attempted to get past the team.
Both SWAT units suddenly aimed at Lark and the one on the left fired the stun gun and ultimately missed.
Putting himself at risk was one thing. He had hoped Lark and the girl would escape through the window while he went through the officers. There were likely more officers in the school, and less outside. These to hadn't radioed for back up and it's possible the officers outside didn't notice the broken window yet. Don't think run. Stupid voice even without the brain thing he always thought about stuff. Overthinking the most minute detail.... Once this was over he needed to study animal biology a Rino could be useful right now. He walk forward and tapped the shoulder of the officer who drew his primary weapon.
"I am. These two aren't let the leave or I'll make you let them leave." Bobby put his finger in the gun barrel while normally the trick wouldn't work in real life like in the cartoons, he could carbon up his finger and strengthen his finger bone.
(Is Shaken) Lark yelped as the stun narrowly missed her. "Bobby, let's go!" she cried, darting towards the door, and standing in the entry.
