as some of you may know, ive reached the age where i need to think about what kinda career path i should takeso i can figure out what i need to learn

im conflicted btween fine baker, making all kinds of cakes and such,or chocolatier, which is working with chocolate to make delicious desserts,i sriously enjoy these things ,even though i cant eat any of them due to intorlenticness

but im thinking about chocolatier more likly, due to ita flexibility and wide range of job options for that profession

    what are your thoughts

Choccolatier always sounded interesting to me - although I'm not a good enough cook, just a little above average. But I always thought it'd be cool when people ask me, "What do you do for a living?" and I answer, "I'm a chocolatier." Plus, I'm sure all the women will go ga-ga over you. I know my wife would. Er, I mean . . . that came out wrong.

    Do what you do best.

They both seem like two good options and they are both about desserts/tasty food.

I can't really decide for you.

You should thing about benefits and costs for each one. (Thank you for Economics class.)

    :derpe:

Good luck choosing which one you decide to stick with.

The fact that you have narrowed down your career options to two very similar paths is already a good step. You at least have a focus, something that most people your age don't get until the end of high school. I'm almost 18, and I'm still torn between a career in medicine and one in art. Don't fret about it for now. You'll learn things about what you want to do over the coming years.

If you do become a chocolatier, invest in a chocolate waterfall, I hear those things are great.

Seriously, whichever one you choose, I'm sure you'll be great at it! Hmm...I'm hungry now...

Do what you feel you can do best.
Believe me, it took me a VERY long time to figure out what I wanted to be (An author), then I saw Twister, which changed my mind to become a meteorologist.

I love cooking and baking myself and considered a career in culinary arts a few years ago. Have you considered pastry chef at all?

I just want to echo the sentiment that you should do something that makes you happy and that you enjoy doing.

I also want to stress the importance of doing something that makes you feel fulfilled. I'll tell you my story:

I love using computers in my spare time and I know quite a lot about them. People always told me, "do something with computers for a career; you're good at it." I spent two years in college for network administration (setting up and running computer networks) due to that advice, and I became so disillusioned because I felt my work would be for a company and their profits; not what I felt was beneficial for humanity in general.

I flunked out of that college, and that's when I moved to a different college and decided to go for nursing instead. I have one year left, and I absolutely love where I'm going with my current plan. I had discovered through this experience that I would feel fulfilled if I were doing something that would make a difference in people's personal lives. In nursing, one does just that, and they do it when people are at their most vulnerable; it's a very rewarding profession if one has the passion for it and for their fellow people.

Anyway, we can't make this decision for you. You need to do what feels right, what makes you happy, what you have a passion for, and what makes you feel fulfilled. I wish you the best as you make this decision; I hope you find true happiness in your career path!
