I agree with what DJ Derpy Hooves says. If you're not a fan of the black, death, etc. genres, try some of the others. I find avantgarde, operatic, alt, prog, etc. to be really good. Pirate metal can be silly at times. I think that a capella hero metal is amazing! Here's a few samples for you to try.
