At school I take a course on gender roles and what they do in society. So in class we have been studying masculinity and we were discussing how it impacts what men are supposed to enjoy as far as entertainment goes. The discussion quickly turned into an argument when I mentioned MLP and many people were saying that men should not watch a show "made for little girls" and if they did they must be "gay". They went on and on about how bronies aren't masculine and that got me thinking about a lot of things. Why is masculinity ideal when it means disliking things that you truly love? I just wanted to ask what anyone else thought about masculinity in the fandom. Oh, and if you haven't seen this video you should check it out. Which is more manly? To be so terrified of what others think that you forget the things you love, or to be sure enough of yourself that you don't care what others think?
Aha, PBSIdeaChannel! Perhaps one of the greatest channels on YouTube. Glad to see another person who enjoys the better side of YouTube. Welcome to Everypony!
Welcome to EveryPony.com! If I had my own money, I'd buy some T-shirts with Fluttershy. And I wouldn't care if the others around me took me as a homosexual or not, because I know, that I am NOT a homosexual Anyways, enjoy your stay.
