He would see her making her way down to the streets from the room tops, sliding down drainpipes and clamoring down balconies. She was quick, but as she got to the street, he would see her panting for breath. She had a cut on her cheek but was otherwise unharmed. "...hi..."
She laughed breathlessly. She had a rosy flush from the cool wind, and her eyes were almost sparkling from adrenaline. "I'm perfect. Were you worried?"
She slid into the car, still trying to catch her breath. She lightly felt her cheek, pulling her hand back and squinting at the blood on her hand. "Ew."
He got in as well, and the door closed. They set off. He frowned at her. "We'll clean it off when we get back."
She waved him off with her free hand, shaking her head. "No worries. It's okay. Did everything go alright with you?"
She grinned at him before closing her eyes, exhaling in relief. "I'm glad that's over. What's next, boss?"
