"Yeah, of course," she said, standing up again to clean up the dishes, her fingers reaching out and ruffling his hair for a moment before she went back in the kitchen.
She finished cleaning and went over to the window, peering out thoughtfully. "I think I'm going to go for a run."
She crossed the room to stand in front of him, pulling her right leg back in a stretch. "You don't have to if you don't want to."
She laughed out loud, resting her hands on his knees as she leaned down, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. "Are you afraid of my runs?"
She went into her room and emerged only a few minutes later, tucking her headphones into her ears, wearing running clothes. Her hair was redone in her standard braid and she stopped in the kitchen. "Okay. See you soon...? Will you be here when I get back?"
