So the local Brony community in my state have decided to have a nerf war between the solar empire and lunar republic. My question is has any pony done this and if so have you any strategies to share?
I've had A nerf war, not one like this though. My advice: Stealth. Depends on how large and area you have though. Take advantage of ANY AND ALL cover! If you see someone and they are not on your team, go for the chest, not the head. It is a bigger target. To avoid confusion of if they are on your team or not, before battle, make up a word for you to say so they know. Go for rapid guns if you want to go for a headshot.
FOR THE SOLAR EMPIRE! Wait, we haven't started yet? Never mind. Something like this would be SO MUCH FUN! I think it would be better if it was a paintball war, though. Easier to distinguish whether someone's actually been shot or not.
The simplest your weapon, the better. Complicated Nerf guns get jammed at exactly when you need it to be filling people's faces with foam.
That is the truth! I am using a longstrike with 10 clips and a firefly. Both have their air restricters removed and better springs. Firefly shoots about 60 feet and the longstrike is getting about 80 feet
If anything, use the recon. And if you're using a battery powered gun, get some really strong batteries, power gets greatly increased
I would definitely pick the Recon as my preferred weapon. We never really had much of a big Nerf war where we were, but if you're organizing it, make sure you make the environment engaging. A normal and boring place is just... boring. I like the Rayven and the Raider also though. For a reliable pistol, the Maverick is pretty good if you don't mind the weight. Also, don't go completely rely on the electric powered guns. They can be great, but they could screw up at a vital moment. I never really liked modding the guns, but if you want, go ahead. Oh, and bring BUCKETS OF AMMO! Bandoliers are real helpful as well. EDIT: I just forgot. I don't have them, but I've used all those Vortex blasters. GREAT. The Nitron...meh, but the Praxis and the Vigilon are shoo-ins for some of my favorites.
Get the vulcan machine gun. Combine I dunno 10 ammo belts. Load up on ammo and become Heavy. Entire team is babies.
