All right, I think it's time we showed you these now. We've been working on these two themes for a while and tweaking them between other jobs. I think we're ready to present. Yes, two. The reason for this as we're not sure which would be preferable. One is somewhat simpler and uniform. The other is a little more flashier. We want to poll you guys and get an idea which theme you'd like to keep. It would also likely affect how we make themes in the future so it's hardly a chicken scratch decision here. So, just scroll through your available themes down at the bottom of the page. It's that menu box at the bottom. The new ones are 'Changeling Green - Option 1' and 'Changeling Green - Option 2'. Now, a word of warning: we have found that you might get some issues with the blog section. This is because your blog pages can be altered as you see fit with the editor and options in the blog options menu. Because you can make your pages any colour you like, it plays with the themes a little bit and it's possible that you might experience a few issues with them. So, please be wary as this is the first 'Dark' theme ever attempted on the site, we're still kinda learning the kinks that come with it. Please, leave your thoughts below and vote in the poll for your favourite.
I like option 2 the most because it feels and looks like it has a lot more character to it (i.e. it's not "just another vBulletin theme"), however the headbar is far too bright and distracting and it's also a little TOO black (both themes are really), it's not a colour I find works overly well in vast quantities on websites. Other than that, good job guys EDIT: I wouldn't say this is anywhere near perfect, but something like this (to me) would help alleviate some of the black issue: http://i.gyazo.com/2fa42058fd3582e6ccc7adc5fd53c521.png http://i.gyazo.com/9aef993f0e1b3d4b54435157aa318c6a.png ...P.S. I do quite like the link colour...
I tend to put this down to typical artist anxiety. Seems to be a common thing. It's the perfectionist within you screaming for better. Personally, those environments look great. It's because you know the technicals that you can see the tiny flaws and details, I'm just looking at the big picture. Happens to us all, mate. Hmm...All right. I'll take that onboard. I'm glad you like. I hope the quote colour is OK. I tried to find a colour background that would work with both the theme as well as white or black text in theme 2.
Going for option 1. Option 2 is just too dark and serious for an MLP website imo. (for lack of a better description)
I honestly think keeping both would be a good idea... So nobody's like "aaawww... I wanted the gradients" or something... But if I were forced to choose I'd pick option 2
