I thought it might be interesting to have a thread up for talking about Progress be it the Scientific or of the human nature. As a example here's a video to start things off. [youtube]NB46sz5eoZg[/youtube] now that was part 1 of 5 vids that talks about how the birds we see today are whats left of the mighty Dinosaurs who lived million and millions of years before we did. and later in the vids it talks about how there taking Emu eggs and essentially changing its very genetic structure bit by bit before it hatch's from its egg for the goal of theoretically reversing evolution to the point of having what we would call a dinosaur. and that alone is a sign of major progress, heck if you were to go back to the 90's and tell people this, they would just brush it off as scfi-fi fiction or the talk of the devil. now as a reminder this thread is not tied to this alone but the very core of what progress is, such as kinect for the 360, many not like it but believe it or not its a sign of progress and its stuff like the kinect that needs to be built so that we can further advance it to the cool stuff we can only dream about right now.
