It started as a normal day in Canterlot. Royal Shield stepped out of his small apartment to get the newspaper. Suddenly, ponies ran down the street screaming. That's when he noticed the distant rumbles and the earth beginning to shake under his hooves. He looked up in the sky to see thousands of black creatures flying around. One dove for the side of a building and caused a magic explosion on contact. The entire floor exploded and the building came crumbling down. He realized what was happening and ran inside to get his families sword off the wall. He then ran down the streets, taking as many back alleyways as possible.
Sun heard the rumbling. When she looked out the window, she saw the creatures. No one needed to tell her what was going on. However, her mother deemed it neccesary. "Sun! Sun, dear! Hurry! Changelings! We have to get to Canterlot!" she cried, her eyes wild. "I understand, Mama. Don't wait up." With that, she vaulted over the fence and took off sprinting. If Canterlot was safe, she had to go get the fillies. Sprinting, absorbing the light, she pushed on, blurring, running so fast that when any tried to look, she was gone. She ran into the school courtyard,and saw a collection of frightened fillies sitting in the dust, their teacher long gone. "Oh, my little darlings, it will be ok.." Sun cooed. She thought for a moment. "Babies... go inside the school. Sun has to regenerate for a moment.. Go back in. Lock the door, and don't let anyone in until you hear 1 knock. Only one, do you hear me? One." she said lovingly.The fillies ran inside, and Sun heard the turning of the lock. "Good....babies....." she murmured, before she fell to the ground, not breathing. Exactly 10 minutes later, she sprung up. She ran to the door and retrieved all the fillies. About 5 in all. "OK, here we go....." she murmured and charged up her horn. It glowed with a yellow light, and picked up all 5 of the fillies. They levitated in midair, and she took a deep breath. Then she began to run. Faster, and faster, with the babies in her levitated bubble of magic. She got to the Ponyville train station in no time, and she didn't hesitate. She plunged into the tunnel, running as fast as she could.
Apearing semingly out of nowhere Shadow strider draws his sword and starts slaying chanlings. "Where in Tarterus did these monsters come from!?!" At that moment he sees Sun and noticed some changlings behind her. " Hey Miss get down now!" He shouted at the top of his lungs hopeing she would hear. He then raised his sword in the air."Getsuga Tenshou!!" He shouted sliceing the air in front of him as he did so a blue blast in the shat of a crescent apeared speeding twards the changlings. Upon impact the changlings seemed to vanish. In an instant Shadow was at Sun's side. "You need some help?"
"Shut it." she said, and even in the darkness, Shadow could see Sun's ears perk up, listening. "I can't believe it! Do you realize what happens to changlings when you slay them?" she asked, shaking her head angrily. "Look, right now, I need to get these babies to Canterlot. I'm fine. Do you have any family members? If so get them." the magic bubble holding the fillies fluttered, and she shook her head as if to clear it. Her horn charged up once more, and she ran deeper into the dark train tunnel.
"Sorry i was just helping, and no i don't know tell me." Then his eyes widened as he heard the mention of family. "No i don't have any family." "Are you sure you don't need help what if you get attcked?"
Sun turned. "I don't need help fighting. But, help me with these fillies." A small boy filly floated over to Shadow, and Sun looked at him expectantly.
"Damn, things must be bad if the princesses are calling upon the winter guard in the middle of summer. Anyway better calm the canterlotians". Frozen Shadow put his winter guard Armour, helmet, boots and belt. checked his sword and shield ((pictures provided below)), re-sheathed it and headed out. "Mares and Gentlecolts calm down, the winter and royal guards have everything under control. please proceed to Canterlot Train station for immediate evacuation". Along with other guards he began to lead the panicking ponies to the station. noticing two ponies and a bunch of fillies running up the tracks. "Sun grab all the kids." Shadow puts his hand on the top right of his forehead as he does so a black mist apears around his face and dispurses to show a white mask. http://www.freewebs.com/smashpoopersdojo/apps/photos/photo?photoid=15470705(to see mask click.) He lets a out a sigh that sounds a bit raspy and distorted. "Don't worry kids i know i may look scary, but this is just so we can to a safe location." His voice still raspy and distorted he looks at Sun. "Hurry get all the kids and get ready i'm taking you to Canterlot."
"We're already here." she responded softly, and trotted into the sunlight. She took the foal from Shadow and walk right into the chaos. Shadow saw her put the filliies down and her horn charged up. A huge sonic rainboom of light errupted from her horn, and a silence followed. All the ponies and changlings sat in peace, including Shadow and Frozen. She then lay down and closed her eyes and lay perfectly still, not breathing. The small fillies came near her and stood around her, waiting for something.
(Vynl, make sure you read that last post, kay? We are in Canterlot, and it's in havoc. Right now, Sun's unconcious. )
(Sorry i have no eye for detials i thought you was going to escape to canterlot.) "We are? I guess i need to pay atention." Shadow said looking around. "All i know is i saw changlings headed this deriction so i came to help, but if this is Canterlot.....then is there anywhere safe we can take the kids until this mess is dealt with." Shadows mask was starting to crack and break away. "Hurry my mask is disapearing i can only hold it for so much longer" (I'll try to pay more attention. -///-)
Sun woke up, her eyes brighter than before. "What? Oh. Hi. Let's move." she said. Her horn glowed a final time, and the fillies got lifted into the air by magic. They each flew off in a similar direction. Sun's horn glowed 3 times brighter, and she lay down underneath all the pressure. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, her horn stopped glowing, and she stood up, looking very, very tired. "C...come on..." she murmured sleepily and set off on a fast trot.
Shadow grabs het at her waist."Tell me where will get there faster." He starts breathing heavy."Hurry times running out the strain...my body will colapse soon. we must go now!" He said looking Sun in the eyes sending her a look that no matter what he would protect her and the young fillies
(Vynl, just sent young fillies away. Sorry, that was a bit confusing on my part.) "Just....... I need.... can you take me to..Marker's Mountain..... I need..... please...." she said weakly, her eyes beginning to glaze over. She turned towards the galloping stallion, and her horn buzzed weakly. "I'll... be right back..." she said softly.
"Don't worry about us i got her and the fillies i will protect them with my life. you go and help the other townsfolk. With me around nothing will hurt them." At that moment a group of changlings charge at Sun."Oh no you don't" Shadow said as he drew his sword and slayed them. He then put it away and grabed Sun again. "Are you going with me or the train?"
(Remember guys, the fillies are gone! ) "I.. need... you... to... take me to... a sunny spot...asap, please..." she said, bleakly.
Frozen shadow looked around after allowing Sun to leave. he then noticed a pony in the back alleys with a sword on his back. "He seems like he can handle himself, although that sword looks very old".
Shadow took of at an incredible speed. Grasping Sun tightly he soon found the fillies. "Hold on little ones." He said as he picked the kids up and took off he soon found a sunny spot and lay Sun down. "Sun. SUN!" He shouted as he tried to wake her. "Are you ok...please Sun answer me."
