So far the best idea is the mind wipe. Quick, everyone hit your head with a rock at the same time!

And anther thing, this thread was about rejuvenating everypony.

I had a simple thought as to how to help a little. It's stupidly simple. As I said earlier in this tread, about all the people coming out like bugs to a zapper. Instead of posting here a few times and hiding. Why not go out to the forum and post in a thread. They are here anyway, right. So why not. That would rejuvenate something.

But I forgot, this isn't the thread for this kind of talk. This is for all that talk.

This is my metal image of this thread and situation. Someone has been shot. Everyone just seems to walk out and see what happened. They stand around the body and stare. They think about what they could do, but they all just stand there as the person bleeds out.

    That's just me though.

So, how about that Brony Day coming up in 6 days? It will be my official two year mark of being a member on the site here, whoo! Now, you may be asking what this has to do with rejuvenating the site. Well, I have returned from Everfree Northwest with glorious live footage and interviews (photos too!). I need to get together with the fellow who helped me film things (Dalken Starbyne) and edit the footage. Our schedules likely won't let us get it up in time for Brony Day, but that's the goal I'm going to try and aim for. If we can't get it finished and uploaded by then, we will work to have it up as soon as possible. I also did quite a bit of networking (amidst having a blast), and I'm hoping that some exciting things will come out of that!

So how about Echoax 's latest avatar?

    What is up with that?

Anyway I agree with his post, in a way. But hey, chat4lyfe.

Alright, so I finally got caught up on this thread.

Yeah, while I was at Anthrocon the only internet was about equivelant to a 56k modem, and while I posted all of once on the forum while I was there, (it was on the community post,) I had no way of normal access, or I would've been here while I was finishing up some art.

This is actually the first thread I've gotten to take the time and read through since getting back, and this week's going to be pretty busy for me anyway.

Now, I appreciate all the information that's been shared, and all... most of the opinions on what needs to be done. Advertisement has already gone underway, I've been paying out of my own earnings to get our banner out there. (Banner courtesy of Rarit.) I believe most of the problems are... things taken too seriously... and not enough active members. We have the events around to participate in, but not much participation. In fact, most people complaining about not enough participation... should try participating in the events. (Just a thought.)

Now, I assure you, I'm on here for a number of hours each day, (this thread is not a good example, as it got posted... not long after I left for AC.) When I'm in a fair mood, I try finding threads I can go converse in... or hang out on our AJAX chat, which is a lot of fun. So, as far as numbers are concerned, it appears I agree with the majority of you.

(Warning: This post contains some of my extremely random mumbling. I have NOT read all of the things posted in thread, so if some of these things have already been discussed or argued about, sorry. Tons of typos here too, grammar nazis behold. If any of this irritates you, I'm sorry, I wrote all this in a rush. Thanks.)

The chat looks boring, fix it! I don't care if it's a touchy subject, set up a paypal donation box, hand out donator perks/ranks, make the members feel like there actually doing something to help except for just complaining about what they can't help with. The donators would/could have a different icon in the chat, or a additional title under their avatar depending on how much of a donator they are (main concept is to make the donator feel special in a non-bragable way). So instead of complaining how how 'expensive' specific things as radio, livestreaming and other things are, you would also have extra credit for advertising, which is the main key to get new people to EP. Make the layout on EP in such a way new members actually feel interested in exploring the website, it's forums and blogs.

As I've been here for a little bit now, I've noticed groups of people hanging by themselfs, almost ignoring the contact of newer (or left alone) members, making them feel either left out or alone (which mainly causes them to leave the site). Sure, they get together because of their interest, but why can't that interest be EP related things? Make people talk about what happens or is going to happen in such ways that previously uninterested member actually wuld grow a interest for what happens on EP. (Random mumbling ****, meh)

The groups are mostly boring. To me, it's just places where people gather to have their own small private forums. The group idea is great, but it's missing a few basic features which makes them more important and interesting. It would be great if you could choose a specific group and have it as your main group, represent it (I don't know, like a banner/icon/text on either your profile or forum posts).

THE LAYOUTS, FIX THEM. Especially in the chat, I've always wanted ways to configure how the chat looks. It's just... Boring. Why not have a planned MOTD as a welcome message? It's a great way to let the active 'chatroom people' know whats actually going on. I know tons of effort might have gone into the layouts of the forum, but why not some that look, different? In such ways the actual layout of things change, not just the looks.

Easy, remove reasons to leave, add reasons to stay. Make EP interesting and fun. Make people stay and feel unique and interesting as a user. Donations are the key to many problems, both to generating a small amount of income and the users getting a feeling of being including on the website itself.

Oh? The staff is bad? Why not put some effort into getting some new, fresh minds to come help out or give their opinions about things. Don't have the old staff just loose faith in everything and give up, that's never fun.

Well, I'm trying to get more involved instead of being on the radio chat all the time...

Down to business with Esy's awesome post:

I shall read closely and break it down (pronounced like a gangsta'. This is sophomore English teacher, no joke.) with my Grammar Nazi skills, and do some rambling myself. :3

I support some form of revenue for Everypony. Instead of a labor of love, it can be self-supporting.
We can get creative arts and music people to make stuff, sell it, and donate to EP. It's symbiotic! Also, the artists can advertise EP on their profiles and posts. Double plus.
We can have a single advertisement banner somewhere to the side or the top, that it doesn't get in the way of the actual forums.

I just had a crazy idea of having members linking forum pages to new members in the introductions, to get them involved. Power to the members, not just the staff!

Representing groups would be a great way to get people together, perhaps making groups that play games together, or have competitions with one another.

The radio room has been very interesting in that you can actually edit the layout, albeit rather rudimentary. As a radio commoner, I was very pleased with it. Unfortunately, it would probably be much harder to implement it in the forums, which have much more content.
There can still just be a couple presets, too, so that a hypothetical layout editing thingy doesn't have to made, debugged (I can imagine it being buggy), etc.

    Brilliant.
If another user is going to blab about how to do this, scroll up.

Another poke at changing the staff. It seems what many people want.

Circuit could have sworn he had seen something trotting on two legs. He ignored it, for he assumed that it was normal here.

"So, how do we get that thing working again?" he asked.
