"It's quite alright mam they can be cleaned," says the junior officer as he turns to go back to his station.
Marina tries to nod, but jumps up and leans on the edge of the deck just in time. This time her stomach has a harder time emptying, since not much was in it. Marina is content with leaning over the edge for the rest of the ride. "Sorry you have to see me like this.." she pants to Rashall.
Rashall walks over to her and helps her up, "Looks like you should be in the med bay now, don't worry the apothecaries have some medicine that should clear it up, but you will be drowsy not to mention we won't make it to my house till tomorrow so you'll have to sleep on board. Come on I'll take you down to med bay," says Rashall helping Marina to the lift.
Marina stumbles along, trying not to think of the movement of the ship. She places a hoof on her stomach and moans quietly.
Rashall takes her other hoof and places it over the back of his neck and takes her to the med bay where apothecary Nomad gives Marina a small pill and a glass of water.
Marina swallows the pill then drinks the water greedily. After just a few moments she looks around sleepily, seeming as though she was searching for a bed.
"Come on there aren't any spare bunks here you'll have to sleep in my cabin with me," says Rashall leading her to a room directly across from the built in Cathedral. Rashall's room is medium sized and semi clean, his bead is posted up against the far wall and Rashall leads Marina over to it and lies her down on the bed and covers her up with blankets as his room is always kept cold. "Here ya go, don't worry about me I'll pull a cloud bed out of storage and sleep on the floor. Now you get some rest," says Rashall in a voice that would brook no arguments.
Marina numbly agreed and cuddled under the blankets. She soon slips into a dream full of ships, clouds, and beds. But the dream is short lived. In the middle of the night, she wakes up in a cold sweat. Her stomach feels as if it's being eaten apart from the inside out. "Nngh!" she moans, clutching her stomach. She pants, sweating even more. The pain is even worse than earlier on the ship. Because her stomach is nearly empty, she can't even find release in any form.
Rashall wakes up from his sleep and notices Marina having a hacking fit and is immediately at her side. "It's okay come on now there's nothing left, lie back down and let me get some more air on you," says Rashall adjusting a fan and vent so that their air flow centers on Marina, he then gets a wet wash cloth an lays it on her head.
Marina just looks at him with a scared look, but then cringes and grabs her stomach. She feels herself starting to cry from the pain. She was probably a wreck. She had woken Rashall up, was sleeping in his bed, and now he was having to care for her. "I'm sorry.." she sobs, wondering why he's still putting up with her. She just wanted to sleep, she wanted to end this nightmare of pain and embarrassment.
Marina just sobs like a little filly. After a while she begins to calm down, not caring to dry her face. She just ignores Rashall's comment and says "I'm sorry for waking you up in the middle of the night, I'm sorry for keeping you out of your own bed, and.." she says pulling herself away from him. "I'm sorry for making you a mess."
"Now why would you say you are making me a mess? In fact wasn't it you who took care of me when I was recovering from my injury now look we've switched spots," says Rashall holding Marina by the shoulders and looking directly into her eyes.
Marina sniffed "I-I guess... but..." she looks at where her head had been. "I mean, I got tears and snot and who knows what else there!"
Marina just lightly yawns and rubs her eyes. Her stomach oddly stopped hurting, and she is tired from the time she was awake.
"Now then get back to sleep, I'm going to go get a drink of water," says Rashall stepping out of the room.
Rashall walks back into the room and notices that Marina is asleep, he simply smiles and pulls the covers up to her neck and then goes to sleep himself.
Marina sleeps longer than she thought was possible for her. When she wakes up, Rashall is gone, and light is filtering in from an unknown source. She yawns and itches her head, looking around. It took her a moment to remember where she was and why. She went to get out of bed, but her stomach gave the tell tale signs of sickness. She sighs and just lays back down, trying to block the movements of the ship out.
