As he ascended, flying got a bit harder. He pushed himself as hard as he could, only a few yards away now.
"He's so close!" she said.. "Come on, you can do it!" she said, whispering, her abilities propelling the words up.
He pushed himself past his limit, but he didn't care. He had to do this. He managed to reach the clouds, and he bucked them away.
"Yeah... Fine..." A bit of blood trickled down his side from his wing. Where there were once scars were now open wounds.
"Oh my Celestia!" yelped Eluuna. She pulled him down to the clouds, and set him down. "I need a nurse, please!" cried Eluuna desperately. She whispered, and the clouds came around the wounds.
"No, you're not. You're bleeding. Celestia.. why did I tell you to go up there?" whispered Eluuna. She put her hoof on his head, and looked around for help. She murmured something, and the clouds gingerly lifted him up.
He tried to sit up. "I'll... be fine... I swear on... Luna..." He fell back down again. The cloud was turning scarlet.
"Please. Come on, Shade. Stay with me. Don't you dare leave me right now. We need you to stay awake." she said frantically, the cloud going faster, with her always touching the cloud.
The procedure took a while. Eluuna watched almost the entire time, her eyes wide. When they finished, it was quarter to midnight, and Eluuna was sleeping in the chair.
Eluuna woke with a start. "Shade! Are you ok? Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. Why did I do that? I should have..."
Eluuna looked up from her hooves. "You're really loved now. Everypony saw you do the flight." she said softly.
