Sparks!

“I have no idea,” he replied honestly. “I’ve only met a handful of dwarves in my life and they were not polite.”

 

“We’ll talk to them,” he reassured her. “They’re a logic driven people.”

 

“I don’t know if that was them,” he replied thoughtfully.

 

“I’m not entirely sure that they’re not the ones behind all this,” he said with a shrug.

 

“We will,” he told her adamantly. “It just might take a while.”

 

He gave her a small smile before looking out the window.

“We have a bit of time. Are you tired?”

 

“Not too bad,” he said, kissing the top of her head. “Let’s go back to the room when we’re finished though and clean up.”

 

He stood up after they finished, stacking their plates.

 

“I’ll take these back to Luce. Wanna meet me back in the room?”

 

He rejoined her about 10 minutes later, opening the door to his room.
