She looked over at him, her eyes wide. "He probably hates me, Ben. And you too, from what I've been told.'
He laughed a little, watching her affectionately as he put his hands on her shoulders. "Then he's the odd one out here. I've got your back and you've got mine, right?"
They had set out, all three of them with a traveler's bag on their back. Puck had not said a word to them so far. The Queen had placed him in charge as they had left, and he had yet to say a word to them.
Finally, Ben spoke up. “So, Puck... what’s the plan?” Puck visibly paused before speaking. “I don’t have to explain anything to you.”
Cal looked down with a frown. "We.. We should all be aware of the plan.. What if something were to go wrong?"
Puck squinted back at them. “What?” “You seem cross,” Ben repeated languidly. “Do you not like the Fae lands?” Puck laughed harshly, raising one eyebrow. “I know them better than you do, traitor.”
Ben raised an eyebrow. “But there is something that’s irritating you. Is it Calliope? Is she smelly? We’ve talked about it, if that helps.”
