Three ponies cry out in fear as they fall through the gaping black hole hidden in the shadows of a cave they were exploring. Mistral Step, a female unicorn, frantically lights her horn in an attempt to slow their decent into the darkness but to little avail. Another female unicorn, named Aima Anakti, struggles to do the same but is rewarded with nothing. The single earth pony struggles to grab onto a wall but glances off the moist rock. Ashmead calls out to the two unicorns but his voice is whipped right out of his mouth by the wind. After what seems like a lifetime, the strong gale from below seems to push even harder against them, slowing their decent slightly right before they splash down in a pool of water. The three ponies struggle to get to the surface, unable to see in the inky darkness. They find each other by their frightened voices and swim until they get to a rocky land, crawling out to rest. The blackness seems to press down on them as time goes on immeasurable, the three ponies eventually standing up and finding a wall to walk with. After hours of trotting blindly through caves, there's a light up ahead. A pair of very pale ponies trot through the same cave, using a torch as light. Aima cries out to them, startling the pale earth ponies. They quickly gallop over to the trio and make sure that they're okay before silently leading them through a complex network of tunnels, ignoring every question directed at them. Mistral stops trotting, refusing to move without them answering her questions about the trio's friends who were exploring the same cave a day earlier. The pale pony sighs. He explains that there were two ponies and a fox who fell not too long ago. They were led to the same place that he was taking them to and he insisted that they needed to be patent. The five ponies then continue off at a brisk pace.
In the middle of walking toward…wherever it was they were going, Ashmead stopped and removed his hat. After wiping his brow, he observed, “Hoo whee, this sure is a mighty long walk! Now, Ah know that you ‘Pale Fellers’ said we gotta be patient and all, but Ah gotta know what y’all plan ta do with us whenever we get ta where we’re goin’. Ah’m just askin’ because I’m a right gentlecolt and if y’all’re fixin’ ta mess with us, Ah gotta let ya know that Ah’m ready ta’ throw down if Ah haveta.” “’Sides,” he added, “Ah got an obligation ta’ mah filly friends, here. Ah gotta protect ‘em, y’understand?” (Ashmead talks with an Southern drawl. If it's hard to understand what he's saying, I'll stop typing it like this. No biggie.)
"Will this take long? I would much prefer to find a way out of this hole." Mistral says impatiently, looking around the dark hole. She tries to shine her horn to create more light, a bright blue tinted light as she walks and looks around, her steps soft and delicate.
"Gaaaahhh!" He says like someone was sticking something in his ear. His moments are slow and cautious. Everything could be a potential cause for his nerves to perform another violent protest. He could feel his tails standing to attention as though waiting for something to burst or snap. He attempts one more movement upwards with his remaining three legs aaaaaaand... Nope! His rib kicks back, demanding that he flops back down and rests. From what he could see, the place was dark but rest would be better than looking around at the moment. He was exhausted currently. There wasn't a muscle in his body that wasn't aching or surrendering. No, sleep might be better for now. Tails went from standing like cobras to acting as a blanket. He could smell earth. Largely soil and moisture. Ponies had wondered in through here, yeah, but not...well, they didn't seem...right to him. He might not have been around ponies for long but he could tell a difference. A minuscule difference.
(Bump! Desperate attempt at saving this RP!) Silver Shield woke up in a room. A fairly nondescript room. There were no other ponies in it, no windows, nothing. He was in a bed. ...Where was he? And what had he been doing before he had fallen asleep? He struggled to remember. ...Ah yes, he had fallen down a hole. A rather large one, as it had been a long fall. Somehow he'd survived it... Oh. And then there had been these strange ponies...who had taken him and his companions along with them...and... He couldn't remember any more. He was still fairly groggy from waking up recently, so he decided to give it a few more minutes.
