As Cherry's hoof touched the cookie being offerred to her by Haze, she was suddenly drenched in orange liquid. She sat there, completely dumbfounded and wet until she heard a familiar voice come from somewhere to the side of her (the side that's normally obscured by her mane) "Oh my... I... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to..." Then she heard her own voice in her head, Sure he didn't... She slowly turned to face the pony who apologized to her and saw that it was Note Sheet. The look on his face showed...was it 'worry'? She couldn't be sure, but she understood the concept. At the very least, he seemed sad that he had drenched her. Softly, she replied, "It's okay..." Forgetting about the cookie and her cherries, she stood and looked around the room for something the dry herself off with.
"Here you are," said Shield, handing her a towel. "I think this will get you dry. Hopefully it's not supposed to be used for something else..." He had just happened to be examining it nearby when the spill had occurred, so he figured, since it seemed like it would work, she might as well give it a try.
"Ah...We have a late bloomer." One scientist said attracting the attention of the others as the last pony in the corner of the room began to twitch. "Did we fix his eye sight?" A Pegasus asked tilting her glasses. "Let's find out!" The pony's eyes suddenly opened and light shined through. He struggled in the tube from the confusion and the scientist rushed to the tube and opened it up. A brown pony with a caramel colored mane and small eyes stumbled out. His wings stretched out in fear as he looked around. Everything around him was a blurry mess and the things in front of him look blurry and disfigured. "I don't think we fixed his eyesight..." One said watching the Pegasus stumble around. "Oh really?" Another replied drawing out a black pair of glasses from his coat. "Here...Put this on. I promise it will make things clear." He said slowly approaching the Pegasus. Not knowing what to do he stood still until the scientist had put the glasses on him. "Better?" He nodded happy he was finally able to see things clearly. "Good! Now...Your name is Facade. You came about a little late so the others have already learned about the mission. We think it may be...better for you if you heard it from them." "But...Why? Why don't I know my own name? What mission? Do I know these other people?" The scientist turned to each other and chuckled. "As inquisitive as Facade was...You will learn it all soon enough. Until then just know that you have a great destiny ahead of you." Facade felt curious and angry at the same time for being left out of the dark. "That is not fair at all! I demand to know!" Facade yelled before being shoved into a room with the other ponies. "Then ask." He turned to the others with slightly panicked expression, however he tried to keep his cool as he approached them. "Ummm...Hi? I was wondering..Who am I?"
Because he still was embarassed by having spilled the juice over Cherry Berry, Note Sheet did not notice that an other pony had entered. But although some ponies were laughing and some were talking, he was able to hear the newcomer speak: "Ummm...Hi? I was wondering..Who am I?" He turned around and stood face to face with a brown pegasus that had... something in front of his eyes. What was that? Focus, Note Sheet..., he thought and tried to answer the pegasus' question. "To be honest, I have never seen you before, but I suppose you're one of... us created ponies. What's your name? If you don't know, it's written at the edge of your bed. And... What is that thing you have there in your face?"
"Created Ponies? What is that supposed to mean? And I already know my Facade, at your service." He said bowing and crossing his legs. He got up blinking and confused. 'Why did I do that?' He thought confused. His wings rustled a little in confusion. "And these are...what did he say...Glasses? Everything around me goes blurry if I don't have them. And I'd prefer to see thanks." He spotted the cookies and licked his lips as his stomach rumbled. He trotted over and took a cookie in his mouth. "So what was that about created ponies? The ponies who I just met didn't say much." He said with the cookie in his mouth.
"We've all been created for a single purpose by the original ponies" said Haze. "We've been thrown together because they want us to help save Equestria from this strange virus or something. They didn't say exactly what it was, but it's weakening and killing the real ponies... "So, they've created new ponies- Us- that are immune to these viruses, so we can save the world from it. Who are you? You were no one until you woke up. There was no life there. It's just begun, so I guess you are what you make yourself. But when we're finished with this single task we've been set, who knows what'll happen to us..." Haze popped another cookie on her tongue. She began chewing it slowly, to get the chocolatey gingery taste out of it, before she started eating it properly. She was getting really quite tired now, longing just to get some space...
Cherry took the towel from Shield and wiped her face and wrung out her mane. She now smelled like the orange drink that had been spilled on her and the smell was making ehr slightly ill. Ugh... Lowering the towel from her face, she spied the new pony (newer pony, anyway. They were all technically new...). He seeemd to be speaking with Note Sheet and Haze. She thought it would be polite if she intruduced herself, as well. "Um...hello. They named me Cherry Berry."
"Greetings!" Dark Shine thought since others were introducing themselves he might as well. "I am Dark Shine. It is a pleasure to meet you!" Dark Shine gave a welcoming grin.
So there WAS another, thought Shield as he watched the newcomer. He wondered if anyone had bothered to tell him anything, either. "Umm...Hi? I was wondering... Who am I?" Apparently he had not been filled in. Somehow it didn't surprise Shield; the scientists didn't seem too keen to talking to anypony about anything. However, Haze seemed to have filled in the blanks (or more accurately, the blank) for Facade on recent events, though he didn't quite agree with some of her views. Shield took a few steps closer to better examine the curious apparatus on Facade's snout. He said they helped him see...but HOW? His mind began to wander as he formulated theories on what kind of technology might be in this strange device, and also on possible reasons that Facade would have these ocular difficulties in the first place. His eyes became slightly unfocused as a result of his intense concentration.
With his question answered, Note Sheet turned back to the drinks table. After all he only had spilled his first drink over Cherry Berry. But before he was able to try it again, the scientist came in and spoke up: "Listen, everypony! The train is just about to arrive, so please get ready soon and meet me at the exit!" Having that said he left the room and us alone again. So their journey, their misson, was finally about to start. Their waiting was over. Note Sheet didn't really think about the future, especially about the time after this mission, no matter how it might end. His eyes hit something hanging on the wall, a round machine with a long and a short bar. Right in the moment when he looked at it, the long bar moved a few degrees and pointed to the bottom of the circle. The shorter bar didn't seem to move at all and kept standing in a position close to the top of the circle... OT: Take your time to finish talking, eating and so on and then follow the scientist to the exit. (Just leave the room and walk a few meters^^) The first one to guess what time it is gets... nothing^^
((Ooh, ooh! Is it 11:30? Anyway...)) Upon hearing that they were leaving soon, Haze grabbed a few cookies for the trip, and jumped out the door. She wasn't wanting to go just yet, but needed some fresh air. She stood outside, leaning against the wall, eating a cookie and thinking. Once this was all through, where would she and the other ponies be? What'd happen to them all? Surely, such things as themselves wouldn't just fit in with the other ponies immidiately. Is it possible they'd just be able to get on with life? She half hoped that they would take control of Equestria... No. That's a terrible thought. Haze knew what she wanted for the future though. A nice, quiet,roomy house, in a snowy area. Perhaps it'd be alone in the middle of nowhere, where she could just waste the days away doing... anything, really. But if she were to live in town, perhaps on the outskirts, perhaps she could see the other ponies more often, if the artificial ponies were accepted... Alone she stood, fantasising about the future. She rammed a whole cookie into her mouth almost without noticing it, deep in thought. It was a relief to finally be out that horrid room, outside, where she could actually breath. She slid down the wall she was leaning against, staring up at the strange new world, a blob almost rising to the top of the blanket of blue. It's brightness attracted her eye, and she turned to look at it. "...Ouch!" Looking at it hurt her eye, she turned away, rubbing her eye with her hoof. What the heck's the point in putting something so big in the sky if you can't eve look at it?
He stumbled a bit as the pony told him the news. He was a created pony, something to be used and tossed away in a instant. His mind blazed with anger over the thought, but a cooler side took effect. 'No, No. Not to be used...You are the last chance these ponies they have. The desperation in there eyes..They need you! You could be a hero to them! You could...' But before his mind finished the thought the other ponies around him began to introduce themselves. He mindlessly repeated his names and dealt with the plesantries of greeting someone new, but his mind was flying at light speed. As the scientist told them to be ready to depart he had made up his mind. 'Alright...You are a clone. However you are still an individual. You are not being used but you are going to be a hero to these ponies...And possibly more.' He nodded with his thought process and found it appropriate. He took a few cookies and followed the Pony who had broken the news to him outside. He watched her look into the bright ball in the sky and look away in pain. Although he was curious he decided it wasn't worth it. He trotted up to her and sat laid next to her munching on some cookies.
Wait, it's time to leave?! As soon as this thought took root in Shield's mind (it took a while, as he had just been yanked out of his own little world), he shot toward the exit at top speed. Unfortunately, as he was not yet used to his new body, and he wasn't really that agile in the first place, he tripped on his way through the doorway, landing next to Facade and Haze and skidding comically on his face for a few feet. "...Ow." He got up quickly and somewhat more gracefully, trying to salvage his pride, but it was a little late for that.
Cherry Berry followed the rest through the doorway and took her first steps in the world. There were so many new sensations; smells, sights, sounds... She almost wanted to dart back inside and leap back into her bed. Looking at the huge world around her (and trying not to look directly at the gigantic light up in the sky), she suddenly felt very, very tiny. She wondered if her friends felt the same way. But another part of her wanted to see everything this world had to offer. Did they have cherries out here? Cookies? Orange soda? Well...maybe I can do without the orange soda... Did the Original ponies live the way they did? Did they sleep in glass tubes? How long had they been alive? How much time do they spend outside? How much time do they spend inside? Are there scientist taking care of them while they sleep or can they look after themselves? Do they have marks on their hips, like the Princess or are they plain-looking like them? So many questions...So much to learn... She blinked a few times before whispering a single word: "Wow..."
Dark Shine looked around. He had never seen anything like it before. He did'nt know what to do or how to feel. Sad, Scared, Joyous... He, for the most part went with nuetral. "This... is nice?" He was using it more of a question than a statement. (I guess the time is 00:30?)
Haze looked around to see that the new pony, Facade, had led next to her. He was beside her, eating some of them tangy ginger cookies, with melty chocolate chips. Haze carried on nom-noming her own, looking towards the end of the sky. The world appeared to be quiet a large place. As they sat there, quietly eating their cookies, there was a sudden crash from the right of where they were sat. Haze whipped round to see what had caused the crash, what could have interrupted the long-desired peace, to see a white unicorn she'd seen earlier sliding out the door, on his face. As he slid on by, Haze couldn't help but wear a smile, as the pony slid to a hault, his body carrying on a little, falling ahead of him. Haze giggled at the pony as he jumped up to his hooves, blushing slightly. "Smooth." Next came the Pink Pony, Cherry Berry, and then Dark Shine, until Over half the ponies had arrived outside the door, awaiting their adventure, their futures. Haze looked around at the ponies, her new friends... Then carried on eating her cookies.
Facade was staring around taking in the new sights and colors. The world was...beautiful. He couldn't imagine the span of the world, the colors that made it up. A small smile formed on his face as he munched on he delicious cookies taking in the strange sights when a crash sounded behind him. He looked behind with Haze and his eyes followed the Unicorn as he slid a bit ahead of them and got up trying to recover. Facade shook his head and laughed at the embarrassing display. "Gotta work on your balance there." Facade said finishing his last cookie off. He smiled as he looked back to the landscape. He couldn't wait to see what was out there in the world.
Some color rose to Shield's face, but he appeared otherwise unabashed. After all, it was true; he DID need to work on his balance. "Yeah," he said, smiling a little. "I don't seem to be the most coordinated pony out of all of us..." In the back of his mind, he wondered if this would be a problem in their upcoming mission, but he thought little of it, as unfortunately in his newness to the world, he was naive and oblivious to the dangers that awaited them on their quest. Then something the Princess had said, something that had been nagging at him since her announcement, shoved itself to the front of his brain. She mentioned that ponies have magical powers and flight... well, if Haze and the others with wings have flight, maybe I have magic! He resolved to test this theory on the way to Ponyville.
When all the other ponies left the building, Note Sheet followed them - and became speechless as soon as he saw what was outside the tiny world he had seen until now. All kinds of colours fell into his eyes, complex sounds entered his ears, dozens of smells grazed his nose. He looked around and couldn't see an end of the world, unlike the rooms before there were no walls here. And unlike the narrow room he had woken up in, this world wasn't scaring at all. It was wonderful. "Okay, ponies, follow me", one of the scientists shouted. "The train station isn't far away from here." Note Sheet woke up from his daydreams again. He didn't really know what a train was, but as the scientist hadn't warned them about it, it had to be something good. A few hundred meters later he saw what the scientist meant. The thing that was standing here kept making noises and produced light white clouds. It didn't look scary, but it was... loud. The scientist told the ponies to enter one of the boxes that were attached to the cloud-making machine, and once again there were walls around them. But these walls were different. There were empty spaces where you could see the outside. Well, on second look these spaces weren't empty at all, but there were invisible walls that allowed them to see the world around them. Much better than these massive walls from the building they had woken up in. EDIT: We use the same train as the one shown in the series (Friendship Express).
As they approached the train, Haze gave a single look at it and stopped. It was producing some grey strange gassy stuff from the front, and was long. And big. Very Big. She started inching her way towards it, not really wanting to go in, just following everypony else. As she got a little closer, the train let out a terrible shriek. Haze jumped in shock. She let out a Squeal and jumped behind a wooden box. ((Are we boarding the Friendship Express, or some other train?))
