"Order's UP!" Veera called out coffee in hoof and a fake smile plastered all over her face.
"Here you are, enjoy." She added cheerfully as she watched a couple of bits fall into the tips jar.

'Another day, another dollar. It is all really the same. It really doesn't matter.' She sighed at her thoughts rather bored, 'Another couple of hours and I will be in my other job thinking the same thing. Why doesn't anything change? What am I doing wrong? Regardless, mindlessly it is my job to serve.'

Silver languished in his fairly small residence, stabbing at parchment with quill and ink. He hated paperwork. Field missions were preferred, and even research he could get some enjoyment from. But recording everything he did was tedious, even though he knew the Princess needed to know what was happening.

He was nearing the end of it though, after nearly an hour. He dotted the final sentence, rolled up the scroll and set it aside, placed the inkwell into storage, and sighed in relief. That was everything he had planned for the day (though unplanned interruptions often came up), and he felt like taking a walk. Which was odd, as he did not usually do that kind of thing, but he had no reason not to. Adding to the unusual nature of the event, he was feeling slightly cheery from having the rest of the day free.

Dressed in his hooded robe, he strolled casually outdoors, listening to the sounds of nature around him. There were surprisingly few ponies out, though that could be due to the slightly chilly weather. He didn't mind, though. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the sound and smell of the wind, the rustling of leaves in the trees. This was good for him, he decided. Perhaps he should get out more for reasons other than Royal business.
