"We're gonna need to see Stretch in the saloon," Sarge said, "He's an old friend of my father's and always seems to want some criminal dead. The rich idiot is practically throwing money at me."
Sarge leads Cora up a ladder and into a bar filled with drunk idiots and soon-to-be-drunk business men, like Stretch. He walked up to the old, suited pony and handed him Thunder Crash's signature hat, covered in blood. "That's good work, my boy." Stretch said, handing him a small bag of bits, "Come back when you need work." "Sure thing, Old Man." Sarge said before returning to Cora.
Sarge chuckled, "Yeah, pretty much. This money goes to ammunition and food, though. No amenities." He tucked away the bag, "Come on, Pen Peak isn't that far away." Then, he made his way down the ladder.
Red Glory looked around at the ruins of Theives Landing, bodies of those that couldn't flee in time littered the ground, then turned away and walked out of the town, followed by the rest of his gang. "That should warn Snake Alley about messin' with us!" a high-ranking gang member said evilly to Red. "Yes, and make sure that some false information gets out. Those ponies who hire Sargent can not ignore our first town burning in months, and even if it isn't Sargent that comes, we can still ambush anypony who does come after us." Red told him.
She climbed down the ladder after Sarge, thinking about the ranch her father was living at. "Do ya' think Red Glory's gang would target an old man's ranch?"
"My Pa lives down on the bend. I'm hopin' that his ranch will be untouched." She drops down to the floor.
"We should probably check in with him if you're worried," Sarge said, "We can probably sleep there for the night."
"You'd be fine trottin' down to the bend?" Even as she asked she was already turning to go in that direction.
"That's not quite what I meant. I meant, you wouldn't be bothered to do so?" She was walking at a rather speedy pace, eager to check on her dad.
After returning to Red Trails Canyon, the base of Red's gang army, Red picked up on some interesting news. As it turns out, other groups of his gangs had gone out and done some pillaging and burning themselves, which as Red's gang was never seen in more than in numbers of fifty, it would make it appear as if they could travel a lot more distance than they actually could, "I think I will have to use this tactic some more down the road." he said to himself as he went further into the canyon that was essentially a fortress.
"That's good. This 'ere land need more ponies of your type." They had walked a ways and could see the gate to the ranch a little ways away.
"More ponies out murdering other ponies for money? Well, that's sounds like paradise." Sarge said with a chuckles as the approached the gate.
"Ya' know that isn't what I meant, Sarge." She walked through the ranch gate and up to her father's ranch house.
