Her head jerked over to him and she genuinely looked frightened, her brow furrowing. “No, Zerras, you don’t understand. I can’t even control my own visions.”
She shook her head, stammering a little over her words as she slowly moved back from him. “B-but all I have is clairvoyance, I’m not even... I don’t even have any diviner power besides that. I’m not even sure that I have any power at all besides that.”
She was watching him in something like panic, her brows furrowed and her hands tucked behind her back as she fell silent.
“I don’t... I don’t know how to use magic,” she said tremulously. “And I’m frightened that you’re going to make me do it, and I don’t think... I don’t think I can do it.”
She hesitated before nodding slowly, her brow furrowed and her jaw clenched. “Just... don’t let me die, okay? You... you still need me after we get to the kingdom.”
"I know," he said, shaking his head slightly. "I'm not gonna let you die. It's not like there's much of risk right now anyways."
