She glanced over her shoulder hesitantly. “Tanzanite was after some food and he fell in,” she said quietly. “I followed him. I believe it was this way...”
She was quiet as they walked, her hands still neatly folded in front of her, but it was clear that she was uncertain on her choice. Finally, she spoke up. "So... you really don't remember anything?"
She might have laughed a little, but it was difficult to tell under her hood. “I don’t know who you are, sir,” she said primly. “I’m only acting on good faith. I don’t imagine there’s much else I could help you with.”
She slipped her hood down in the sunshine, squinting around, and her golden hair had pulled loose from her ponytail. She paused before looking over at Melas, her brows furrowed. "This way..."
The castle was gate was just in view.. however, if she looked back she would find that he was nowhere to be seen.
Tanzy sniffed around, but clearly the amount of people had skewed his people tracking, and he whimpered. Firo was standing by the cart, and saw her from a ways, waving as he approached. "June! You almost ready to to?"
She shook her head, approaching him nervously. "No, Firo, I... I did something bad. Really bad, I think. I was stupid, I was so stupid. I... I lost him. I think he's bad. I think he's a bad guy."
"I... I... I was following Tanzy and he fell through a wall and I followed him a-and we got below the castle, and... there was a person, a boy who was chained up and he... he couldn't see, Firo, and he was alone down there and it was so terrible, and I just... I couldn't leave him, and so I let him out and told him that we needed to go to the Elders, a-and he agreed, but then as we were heading there, he disappeared, a-and I think I might've done something really bad. I think I might've done something really bad, Firo, because he was chained down underneath the castle... I think I just let a criminal out, and now he's loose."
