The Reasons

Ahem. Sir I've been rejected seven times. Consecutively. So I know how to cope. It seems broad, but forget her. She broke up with you...I've had girlfriends in the past, and I've never dealt with being broken up with, but the way I imagine is that you're gonna be sad and there's nothing you can do except be with your friends, because they stay there. Friendship...is...MAGIC. But seriously, if you have close friends, I'm sure they know you well enough to know what helps you and going to them is the best option. BYE!

well thanks i guess it is kinda hard for me to simply "forget" her though seeing as she still wants to be friends and i did and kinda still do; love her with my entire existance but still thanks for the response especially since you were the only one to do so on such an important topic to me

Well, I'm sorry, I have no experience in the matter and don't wish to offer advice formed merely of theory. I'm sorry to hear what you're going through, and I hope things turn out alright.

I am very sorry to hear about this.

I've only had one relationship in my life. It was during High School. A girl name Misty. We're both blind. We seemed very happy together but in the end our personalities clashed too much. I'm an extrovert and she's an introvert. I'm a hopeless romantic and while I would not shower her with expensive things I would always do things to make her feel special, even things of no monetary value.

A relationship is give-and-take and I was doing almost 90% of the giving and she felt inadequate and couldn't do as much in return.

She ended up breaking up with me the afternoon before Final Exams. She wanted to see other people (my best friend in fact). I wanted her to be happy and nothing more. I let her go.

Boy that sucked. I had to make a quick decision. Do I dwell on this heartbreak and risk my grades or do I have a good cry and then hit the books? I chose to hit the books and never looked back.

My heart still hurt so for the rest of my high school years I kept hitting the books and got lost in my hobbies instead. By the time I was ready again the time wasn't right anymore.

Obviously our situations are different. Take some time to let out your feelings. Don't keep them bottled up inside. Then spend some time doing stuff for you. Indulge a little (but not too much).

Let it all out. Have someone to talk to. First time loves are the hardest to recover. Believe me, I have had friends cry and whine for weeks. Use this experience so that next time it's not so bad. Yes, you will find someone else. You should try to concentrate on other things to help you forget about her. These situations leave big scars on men but you'll be stronger. As long as you don't look back.

If it helps, you deserve better my friend. Just look ahead and forget about all the "what ifs" and "I loved her". I say you should be better in about 2 weeks time. Then again, some recover faster than others.

I'm a harsh idiot sometimes. But if you still plan to be friends, you need space to mend your feelings, because she went ninja on them apparently. Give it two months and things should be okay. Talk to me if they aren't. I'm good at these things, but way too shy to pull them off the right way. My friends don't call me Flutterguy for nothing. It's a compliment for me! But I don't want this to turn into me having to say "a moment of silence for our brother in the friendzone," so be careful.
